I love that with the pennywise ones, they almost tell a story beside each other. Like the baby one’s outfit is cleaner, not covered in blood, whereas once he’s grown up; he’s seen some things lol. Outfits dirtier, blood on the hands, cracked forehead, etc. I think it’s a really really cool coincidence. Amazing cakes all around!!

These cakes are worth SO much more than what was spent! The cake artists know this, but it would be cool to highlight that more so that people don’t have unrealistic expectations of what this amount of artistry should cost. 🙂

When you said they went above the budget, I find that when you give artists their choice of what they want to do, you often get more. It’s as if because they get to break out of the usual, they give more. I’m always happy with what I get too!

Yes it was hard not to notice the food waste in covering it in fondant as Laurie avoided eating the fondant (and I cannot blame her for that it does overpower the flavour of a good cake with gluey sweetness). If it was buttercream it would have been eaten along with the cake.

You and those ask for detailed butter cream cakes or ones less sweet need a reality check. There is absolutely no way find one. I seen royal icing but most will be fondant, modeling chocolate, chocolate or gumpaste that's really it.

@@Kt-cn2rq yes it is incredibly difficult and they normally need to be stored cold! Which is why it would be a challenge. It doesn't have to be full 3D creation. She actually did one buttercream challenge about a month ago. It would be fun to see more!

Ohh i would just love to see them introduce their own cakes, what they were going for, why they decided on certain things, all the stuff we dont know. Then you can break it all down to how well it works, what you would have liked to see, did they pull off what they think they were pulling off, that sort of thing? I love the idea of getting the bakers involved! Although i would love more blind tests as im fairly certain some go over the buget with their time because they know youre getting it and its good PR! . . . If they do a good job that is! 😂

The third one is definitely my favorite and the most creative out of the 3 IMO. But I'm biased because I'm very creeped out by clowns. I just don't think of a specific movie character when I hear "Halloween" but more so envision dark colors, spooky vibes etc which the third one hit on for sure.

My gosh... this is outstanding. The artistry is UNREAL! I'm so in awe of the skill and talent that it takes to create cakes like this. They're all amazing in their own way, but the standing Pennywise is next level incredible. The monster wedding cake is one of my ALL-TIME favorite cakes, I haver EVER seen. I'd totally have that one, for my own Halloween/wedding/birthday cake (being my birthday is five days before Halloween. Wow these bakeries did AMAZING!!!!!!! My fav is the 1st one. The details were awesome. The corn silk hair. Just can't get over that. I found it to be the one with most detail ie: color, texture, lines Like, except for the hand (fingers a bit more rounded?) there really wasn't a detail out of place. I do cakes as a hobby but never quite to this scale. A Nightmare before Christmas baby shower cake is about the closest to a Halloween cake I've done. But kudos to these artists. Well done!!!!!!!
