1:03:48 It doesn't take 15 minutes for muscle failure to happen, if you are performing very slow reps with intensity. You could do 1 rep pull up... 5 seconds up. 5 seconds hold at the top Then 20 seconds, if not longer when lowering for completion. Hold for another 5 seconds fully stretched out, before dismounting. The above could be done with one leg in a band looped over the bar to assist if Rehabilitation was needed. A friend of mine uses a bicycle inner tube as a cheap alternative, too early in his adventure to say if it's any good. That said, Thank you for uploading and sharing Informative and enjoyable. 😄👍 P.s I would love to see some one like Lee Priest try them on his +20 inch arms. 😄 Would they get even bigger? 🎉

The information in this presentation was astounding. As I have just undergone patellar tendon tear surgery, this is helping me have some hope to a quicker recovery and into my later years. Thank you for this. Excited to buy your products.

I used BFR many years ago and my arms just changed. People knew I lift at a glance when I wore short sleeves. Now, after Desarda mesh-free hernia repair, I may use it again to lift light with more results. Checking in to see if it's feasible, I don't want to redo the surgery. NOTE: I didn't need a training system or app to do RBF training. I donated blood, noted the elastic band with release-clip they used, and bought 2 on Amazon. I reduced blood flow by 60-70%. No problems over 1.5 years.

Probably a bit late to ask this on an old comment, but how did you measure your blood flow? Been trying to find out what the options are for that.
@craiglaughlin67944 жыл бұрын
@@abdabzeebop2 Not sure what Billy used, but I went through BFR therapy for a torn hamstring tendon. The PT used the Delfi system, which is attached to a monitor that tells the therapist what percentage the blood flow is reduced by, and, oh by the way costs around $5,000 and can only be used on one limb at a time. I decided to buy some BFR bands to use at home and did quite a bit of research. There is only one system that is designed so that it can't ever totally occlude blood flow, and it's the B Strong/B3 Sciences system. (They are the same thing. One brand is aimed at the professional market and the other at the consumer market.) I've been using mine since last September and have increased my vertical jump (I'm a 70 year old volleyball player who competes at the national level) by 7 3/4 inches, and have dropped my body fat percentage from just over 20% to just over 15% - and I didn't just start working out, I've been a regular at LifeTime fitness since 1997. Check out my.prob3.com for information.

Dr Mercola states that the cheap bands work almost aswell. As he doesnt sell them Mercola is unbiased. Buy the 25$ version!
@craiglaughlin67944 жыл бұрын
Right. The $25 bands work "almost as well" and are almost as safe. Almost no one ever hurts themselves with the cheap bands by totally occluding the blood flow - which can't be measured or calibrated with the $25 bands. B Strong and B3 BFR bands are the only bands on the market that can't occlude blood flow, so any numbskull can use them without fear of permanent injury. But go ahead and buy the $25 bands. You probably won't hurt yourself.

@@vanity68 are they pneumatic? The ones I have are pneumatic and they were life changing. It tells you on mine what exact pressure was needed to occlude too. Maybe yours don't get tight enough? It's definitely not a pleasant feeling at first but I got used to it and I only do it 30 mins at a time for weightlifting workouts.

How about people with fibromyalgia? Blood pressure measurement often causes great pain. Matter of fact blood pressure cuffs have been used to diagnose fibromyalgia. How much pressure is needed to get the partial occlusion? Have they been tried with people with fibromyalgia who are often in great need of exercise.

Um, you need a lot! So maybe best avoided if you have FM? I don't have FM myself but would be curious to hear from someone who does have it and who has tried BFR. It takes about 95mmHg to occlude my arms to 50% each, and about 190mmHg to occlude each leg to 65%...

How does this impact varicose veins in your legs?
@craiglaughlin67944 жыл бұрын
Although there is one known case (out of hundreds of thousands of uses over a period of decades of use in Japan) of a ruptured varicose vein, most people with varicose veins see improvement. Varicose veins are addressed in the video "B3 Bands - The New Way for Seniors to Exercise" at this link: vimeo.com/429720343 You can try Dr. Jim's patented multi-chamber bands (the safest on the market, as they are the only ones that can't completely occlude blood flow) risk risk free by clicking the "30 Day Test Drive" button at this link: my.getonthebands.com

Calling people couch potatoes is very judgmental. It is sick that doctors go after obesity as if the person is fully at fault as opposed to looking at it as a symptom of something else. Like sleep apnea.
