We narrowly voted to leave the EU and now we are ALL suffering a decline in the economy and living standards. It's important to remember that we voted on EU membership. Starmer is not negotiating a renewed membership. It's laughable you actually think not being an EU member precludes him from having any discussion with EU officials, too. We never voted on EU membership. We were NEVER offered a vote. John Major signed us into the EU when he signed the Maastricht Treaty in 1992. We did vote to leave, though. The only referendum offered to the British people was on 5th June 1975 and that was about continued membership of the Common Market, the EU didn't exist then, and that was only because it was pointed out that Edward Heath may have committed treason by taking us into a foreign entity without asking the British people.
