Having the ring beam done is wonderful. I’m getting excited to see a roof shape take place.. If all of the plants grow well, there will be veggies for all. Yummm❤️

Your channel is such a gem. From Omar’s pride when his shelves worked so brilliantly (I had no doubts), to your willingness to do what is needed and to your ability to keep things like winter gardening moving, to Simon’s ease of creating beautiful stonework and your lovely mom’s quiet presence, it makes every video such a warm experience. No click bait, just able and happy people building a life in Portugal.

Everything is coming together beautifully, it's truly impressive what a small group of creative, artistic people can accomplish working together towards a common goal. Each with their own speciality, gorgeous stonework, beautiful gardens, delicious food, and creative carpentry, all combining to build a stunningly beautiful, warmly welcoming home, and recording it all in brilliant videos! Well done all!

Simon is truly an artist. I watch lots of stone work in Portugal but honestly Simon is second to none. Incredibly beautiful.

Simon your stone work is absolutely, awesome, beautiful, fantastic, you are one heck of a stone mason and builder. Omar your kitchen cabinets are lovely and very functional, well done for repurposing the rails. Andrea your garden is looking lovely and seeing your mom pottering around in the back ground is so comforting, do not ask why, it just feels very comforting. Have a lovely day.

Oh I did enjoy watching Simon working on those walls… they look beautiful… well done Omar you really are very clever… the recycling drawers are brilliant… I love watching you planting Andrea knowing that you will have so many different vegetables growing that will feed you and Omar and your mother ❤

I love to grab a hot drink and settle in to watch your videos every Saturday morning. Even though we've never met, you've all been part of my life since your channel started. When I reminisce about this chapter of my life, these Saturday mornings watching your project come together inspire me as I plan my own Portuguese escape.

Simon and Team: The ring beam is EPIC! Back-breaking work but so exciting to watch its completion. Omar: What you did with the bins container was so clever. It used to be called a "jerry-rig" but now it's a "hack." Andrea: Watching you and your mom tend the garden is so meditative.

I loved this video! I'm going to watch it again right away so I don't forget everything. Simon and Y'all have done an amazing job on the "ROCK PUZZLE PROJECT"!!! It almost seems like a few weeks ago he was putting up the cement blocks. (Don't tell him I said that😂😂! He just works so skillfully and very diligently!!! It's amazing!!! If I don't get that place I'm trying for in Terceira (Red Tape and I'm not there) and if I have to get a ruin, I guess I will have to yet 4 round trip tickets, (doesn't him and Elf have 2 kids?), to Terceira and put them up in a rental, I'll sleep in a tent and poo in a bucket 🤣🤣🤣 While he helps me with my ruin. Of course I'll be buying their groceries too. Then they'll have a vacation get-a-way when I'm in the US! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
