A lot was circumstantial, but, presented to a court, I would bet that it would have met the standard of 'beyond a reasonable doubt', but for some reason, they seemed to be holding out for some unicorn 'gotcha' piece of evidence, or even catch him in the act... 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ I don't think this was a result of police corruption, but instead a kind of incompetence brought on by a ludicrous kind of tunnel-vision; police can sometimes get tunnel-vision where they will focus an investigation on one suspect to the point of excluding all others, even ignoring evidence which vindicated their suspect. But with Lee Allen, for some reason, they seemed to be waiting for that 'better' piece of evidence which would absolutely ensure conviction... 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ Why? Your guess is as good as mine... 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ It is a fascinating case for sure, but additionally so, because of the inexplicable behavior of the police in not being secure in the evidence which they had 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
