@instinctonline68756 жыл бұрын
Yeah why is that!?
@mineralorb48736 жыл бұрын
@@instinctonline6875 People aren't quite sure. It has something to do with REM sleep. That is the 5th and final stage of sleeping where people make rapid eye movement when the eyes are closed while sleeping, but the rest of the body is paralysed. That is actually good because if we weren't paralysed, we could try to act out the actions that we dream, or fall off of our bed. It has something to do with REM sleep and alpha waves that the brain makes. People that have them increased act differently from those who have it decreased. Frequently. In Herz. People that manage to recall their dreams, can wake up at night more and something happens so that the dreams get inside of our internal memory. Ye, so... It's not quite known why. The knowledge of that is just on the tip of the iceberg with a few experiments done.

Ceaser VIPs If I were him, I think I'd change the homepage of the company's website, and display a message trying to explain what I really did. I would explain that during the board of directors meetings, the topic never was "how to do something good for this world", but always was "how to make more money, how to attract more people, so we can display more ads and get more clicks". I think I would sabotage the company, do something more human, less corporate. I'd try to make people think outside of the box, instead of publishing another article like "21 Polly Pocket Sets That Will Give Every '90s Kid Intense Nostalgia". I would tell people to wonder if the world they want for their kids is a world where their kids are exposed to thousands of ads per day (you think nobody can see thousands of ads per day? just search on Google for studies about the number of ads we see every day on average). There is a lot more to say, but I guess you get the point.

Coming from an insomniac: Does anyone else feel that involuntarily lying half-awake at night kinda still constitutes as sleeping? Then when you finally do get shuteye your body somehow compensates for the time that you weren’t asleep but wanted to… Well to me it’s a marvel that 4 hrs actual sleep can (sometimes) feel like the optimum 7/8 hrs, and I wake up not as groggy as I would’ve expected!
@pepperidgefarm80105 жыл бұрын
This probably because in 4 hours you gain total quality sleeping. As far as I know there was 3 different stage of sleeping: starting from awake, going to deep sleep, and REM. The timing of your body fully restored is when you get enough deep sleep. But still you need to have at least 6-7 hours in order to restore all the organs and in the right timing. 11-01 is for heart, 1-3 for intestine, and so on. Another case to relate with this is when you do quick afternoon sleeping (usually after lunch, for 15-30 minutes) and when you wake up, you fell just like wake up in the morning.

When I was a kid I had very often nightmares, I would see a monster or more coming to kill me and I would be usually inside my home or at the garden, worse, I would always be unable to go further from the monster, but the option to walk closer to it was possible. After years I learned how to ovrrcome those dreams and either escape from the monsters or kill it with a weapon or a superpower. And all that might sound cool, but I had to experience many many nights each year for many years those. Also, when I was a teenager I did a small meditation once and I could control all my dreams like if I was a God, but it lasted for half a year or more. Our mind really is strange.

They believe when we sleep the brain cleans itself of its waste build-up through the day. It's also a better state for injuries to heal and our bodies to grow as were not moving and exerting extra energy or damaging wounds more. Why we need to sleep to do this isn't fully clear but it makes sense as I notice (brain wise) If i don't rest I get headaches and feel downright nasty which could be said waste build-up, and when I had long periods of insomnia it was awful. I couldn't remember squat and I felt like I was constantly intoxicated.

@JetBrooke5 жыл бұрын
It would depend on the type of headphones. In ear buds could potentially damage your hearing overtime. If you used wired headphones or big chunky ones they might also hurt your ears or wrap around you, causing you to wake up due to the discomfort. Alternatively, you could invest in a sleep-aid that plays music quietly as you fall asleep.

I have once fell asleep while cycling. Bump in the road woke me up but I managed to recover from falling due to riding my bike real low. It was a dark night and used to visit my friend living far away from the city and we spent hours talking which often ended at 1-2 AM so I was feeling quite safe about that and I love cycling trough warm summer nights. There were no lanterns on the way, pitch dark, only the cheap headlight that was on dying batteries, and while there were parts where I could guide by the moon passing trough the trees along the road and just keep myself in the middle there were parts were I had to rely on this dying lightsource I had so I had to slow down to walking pace which was calming coupled with warm, wind less weather. Head light was weaker and weaker until it was barely visible and I have fallen asleep :D

I just now heard for the first time the "myth" that eating dairy can give people nightmares, but I already knew that that was true for me, as every time I ingest milk I have a dozen or so crazyass dreams each night for up to a week after just eating a scoop of ice cream. I had never heard that it was "supposedly" something people claimed before. This whole week has been hell for me since I ate some ice cream for my gf's birthday :(

QUICK TIPS for SLEEP: - Go outside 2-10 min as close to waking up as possible to expose yourself to light (Don't look right at the sun... ) - Go outside 2-10 min circa Sunset as well. - Limit or avoid exposure to light during 11pm-4am (23:00-04:00) Candle light and light from a fireplace is completely fine, also other very dimmed light! - Use lights placed on low height locations instead of overhead during the evening.

I don't know if this is considered as sleep walking but everyone tells me that when someone wakes me up I kinda wake up and sometimes sit up and even look around as if I'm awake but go to sleep right away and have no memory of it later. Anyone has the same thing? This might be because those moments of half consciousness are stored as short memory but who am I to say.

Join the army and sleep isn't a thing
@TjarpDex5 жыл бұрын
That's where you're wrong, in the army (it's mandatory in Finland) I learned the exceptional skill of sleeping whenever, wherever and under any condition, the weather didn't matter, how much room I had didn't matter, if I was unfortunate to have a root or something under my spot in the tent didn't matter, if I was drenching wet in heavy rain it didn't matter, all that mattered was that whatever slight bit of time I had to sleep I sure as hell made use of every second.
