Many have already mentioned Albert Einstein doesn’t belong on this list, so that has been said. But I want to mention that Gavrilo Princip doesn’t really belong here either. WW1 was bound to happen at one point. Leading up to its start, the major nations of Europe had entered defense alliances with one another. This meant that the European political relations was like walking on a minefield. Sure, he kickstarted the war by “stepping on a mine” (or by making already intense relations between Austria-Hungary and Serbia even more intense if you want details). But even if he didn’t the war would have happened anyway, and it should also be mentioned that his killing of the Archduke was far from the only contributor to the start of the war.

I’ll be honest, some of this is a stretch, blaming Einstein for the atomic bomb, blaming princip is also a bit of a stretch. It’s been theorized that it’s the reason WWI started but a lot of historians believe that WWI would’ve started without the assassination of Ferdinand.

Hope this won't get lost in the comments but I wanted to clarify actions of Gavrilo Princip. Serbia's secret organisation known as the Black hand gave Gavrilo's organisation Young Bosna weapons which they used to assassinate prince Ferdinand, and later Serbia was to blame for his death. Gavrilo didn't actually start the war, they just used that as an excuse to attack Serbia. In that time king of Austria-Hungary didn't even care about the death of the prince cuz he didn't like him that much, but still used it as an excuse to attack us. So yeah, blaming Gavrilo for starting the Big war is like blaming Newton for planes falling out of the sky... Hope I taught you some interesting facts :>
