Christ was a Hebrew n followed the law of Torah and had nothing to do with false cult that was created after him...so call it religion of Romans or Paul not Jesus. Jesus made it clear he came only for Jews n came to confirm the law. He did not create anything new and gave same message as all prophets, to worship God alone not the creation. He did say another comforter will come with a universal law and that happened 600 years after Christ.

After he killed someone and fled and met God who ordered he had to free all the slaves he went back and the plagues Came in with the last 1 Being the killing of all Egyptian young boys
@dominusvolpus80313 жыл бұрын
It was the last of the Ten Plagues that Moses warned about but the Pharoah didn't listen so the Pharoah could've stopped the first born children from dying by releasing the Israelites and by telling everybody to make the sign of the cross out a the best lamb they had. This plague was called the Passover and is still celebrated by Christians and Jews.... So its the Pharaohs fault that the angel of death (Which is not satin or a fallen angel) came down and murdered everybody.

He knew what would happen to Able because, they knew the difference between good and evil. I am sure Adam and eve told them Why they were living in a different place than Eden when asked about a place they're not allowed to go. So he would also know a possible consequence of his actions against his brother. By the way God was displeased with Cain not because of his offering to God was fruit and vegetables , it was because they were on the verge of rotting. If you were going to a work potluck and the GM told you to bring a dessert and you bring in a 3/4 of cheesecake that was in the back of your fridge that you forgot about, the boss would be offended, and rightfully so. This story does have some flaws. Jephthah did promise to give whoever greeted him first up but actually he did not literally sacrifice his daughter. His daughter served at the Tabernacle for the rest of her life. Also secondly, the Judas story actually goes hand in hand. Matthew says that Judas attempted to hang himself while Act mentions he fell and was burst open upon the rocks. Evidently, Matthew mentions the method used and Acts mentions the result seemingly saying the rope used broke when Judas attempted suicide over a cliff and thus he fell down to the rocks below.

That's an interpretation of how some people say it but there's no actual indication in the bible that that's what happened. One thing to note is that in Deuteronomy 18:10 it mentions "There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer" basically stating that human sacrifices are wrong. In any case, the Tabernacle explanation was basically just given by people who misunderstood the passage and didn't want the "sorta" good guy to have done something so evil. But it's made clear that she died.
@khameronsmith108 Жыл бұрын
@@abbadon9693 But it later says that her friends came to visit her. What were they visiting, ashes?
@abbadon9693 Жыл бұрын
@@khameronsmith108 It doesn't say that her friends came to visit her. First he gave her two months to grieve with her friends and then in verse 39-40 "And it came to pass at the end of two months, that she returned unto her father, who did with her according to his vow which he had vowed: and she knew no man. And it was a custom in Israel, 40 That the daughters of Israel went yearly to lament the daughter of Jephthah the Gileadite four days in a year." That means there was a yearly mourning, sort of like how people on the anniversaries of family members' death occasionally have a tradition of grieving once every year on the anniversary of the dead person's death.
@khameronsmith108 Жыл бұрын
@@abbadon9693 Yes but you must look at the context. The sacrifice is this sense literally means 'too offer or give up' similar with Samuel when he was sent to serve at the Temple based on the similar vow Hannah made. Also when translated, lament also can mean to talk with. As Jephthah was viewed highly by God and acted against the nations who DID perform these practices, it's not only unlikely but impossible for that to be the case. Further research is always needed and you have to remember that times when written and changes in language structure must be taken into account

Ehh.. I'm really surprised yall dropped the ball with Jephthah's vow. As knowledgeable as yall are about historical culture I figured yall would have seen through that one. The willing fulfillment of this vow by Jephthah’s daughter appears to contradict the literal interpretation of a child sacrifice. Not only were such sacrifices clearly forbidden and abominated in Scripture (Deut. 12:31; 18:9-12; cf. 2 Kings 3:27; 23:10; Is. 57:5), but the concern of the text is never death, but always virginity. In 11:37, Jephthah’s daughter requests a two-month leave in order to lament her virginity. Then, in 11:38, the text records that while with her friends, she wept over the fact of her virginity. Then again, in 11:39, it is recorded that Jephthah fulfilled his vow to the LORD, and the text clearly describes how this vow was fulfilled-“that is, she did not know a man.” It appears, therefore, that Jephthah’s vow consisted of offering a member of his house to the full-time service of the LORD, and thus not to the normal duties of a household, such a marriage and having children. Service of this type in not unknown in the Old Testament (Ex. 38:8; 1 Sam. 2:22; cf. 1 Sam. 1:11, 22-28).

Here’s a story that never gets talked about. The Levites concubine Judges 19-20. After a group of benjamites(a tribe of Israel) gangr*pe a concubine she dies. The Levite cuts her into pieces and sends them to the other tribes and they have a civil war. They felt bad killing all of the benjamite women so they attack a city for not showing up for the civil war and murdered everyone except for the virgin girls, it turned out that there wasn’t enough virgins so they kidnapped even more from a dance festival. And god had absolutely no problem with this.

You'll note that many of the chapters in this section of the Bible begin along the lines of "And there was no king, so every man did as he saw fit." This was a representation of the chaos which occurred during the time in which Israel had refused to acknowledge God as their leader, and so were lost. I hope this helped!

@@Norwegianization I don't know the specifics of the levitical sacrifices so take what I I with a grain of salt. But the waged of sin is death and so something needs to die in the place of sin. Just the law of morality in the Bible and is the reason why humans die and aren't immortal like ot was in the garden of eden and why Jesus' sacrifice was needed. Whether or not you like it should not be a defining factor on whether God exists. Because if he does he'll exist whyher you like it or not. It would just be a fact of reality. And if you think God is immortal because of it, you'd have to remember that if he exists he'd also be the one defining morality making it impossible to legitimately call him immoral.
