I spent 2 months in a coma years ago when I had septicemia and went into septic shock. There were a few mistakes here. There are different levels of coma. At the deepest levels there is nothing but at the lighter levels your brain is definitely working. I was in both deep and less deep coma, and the dreams in the less deep end were crazy. I would incorporate things people said around me into the dreams, so I was hearing them. My mom told me afterwards that they told her to talk to me so she would sit there and talk about all kinds of stuff. I didn’t hear her as in remembering her saying if I woke up we could get a wild puppy but I started dreaming about getting a wolf puppy. It was wild putting the dreams together with things I was told actually happened.

13:48 I have sleep paralysis multiple times a month and it's absolutely awful. Eventually I learned how to wake myself up quicker, but it's still terrible every time. That point where you realize your dreaming and can't wake up is the absolute worst, it feels like you can't breathe and you're going to die every time. The guy who was in the 12-year waking coma is probably the most terrifying thing I have ever heard of.
@KingCeaser12327 ай бұрын
how do you wake up quicker?
@liquidnick7 ай бұрын
@@KingCeaser1232 it's hard to explain. I get sleep paralysis often, so once I realize what is going on, I can calm down and focus on waking up. I kind of focus on my breathing for a bit, then quickly tense up my body and hold my breath, then try to move my entire body all at once. it tends to work after a few tries. It's one of those things you can't really explain because it happens when your half-awake/half-sleeping.
@ChoccolateQueen7 ай бұрын
I can relate to that, I have sleep paralysis a lot as well. I can't wake myself up but when it happens I don't get as scared as I used to. I usually just relax and ask God to wake me up
@blacklightlifestyle97637 ай бұрын
I mainly get sleep paralysis when I lay on my back, same with snoring, idk what is has to do with that, but I’m far less likely to get those symptoms sleeping on my stomach, but yes I’m 30 and had paralysis my whole life, it still hasn’t gotten any easier to cope with while it’s happening, from what I read, it’s where your brain has woking up before your body, and your going to be fine, but it is horrifying

@YukonJack7 ай бұрын
Many people don't handle death well. I am sorry that you have regrets and you have every right to be upset with yourself and punishing, you're simply prolonging the harm of something that has already passed. Forgiving yourself isn't based on "deserving" it, it's based on understanding that no one gets everything right. What you now know is that if a day comes when you have the opportunity to be there for a loved one that is on their last times, you can be there and be *thankful* that you know being absent would cause you torment - not to mention actually being there for the person's comfort.
@matthewbest12087 ай бұрын
You are human like the rest of us I won’t judge yourself as a person during that time, just be better for yourself and the people you love from this day on. If you were in there shoes you should understand why they didn’t come and be understanding it’s all about self awareness. Be at peace and know they loved you regardless xo

The title is inaccurate, this is NOT a coma. This is a condition called locked-in syndrome, which is commonly mistaken for a coma. A comatose patient would be in at most a dreaming state. This person was initially in a coma as well, but only for the first few years.

My paternal grandfather was apparently in a coma after suffering a work-related fall and ended up in a coma for three months (this was in the late 1950s or early 1960s) and he woke up. He was an incredibly different (and now horrible...let's say family secrets territory) man, but they thought he was gonna be a vegetable for ever too. It's horrible how much of "you" can be changed. Now I wonder if he went through any of what the man in story #1 and he let it turn him mean. I say "apparently" because I was told all this second hand. I never met him because he got that bad.

Once I was finally able to eat and nausea was down enough I thought maybe food could stay down, I threw it all up, fell asleep, and didn't keep food down until the next day.

actually it IS real, they just lied about it being a coma, it was a case of Locked-in syndrome, except his parents didnt care for him one bit, his mother said "You must die, why wont you die? You deserve to die." Just like in the video, apparently, reality is cruel, he was taken care by nurses who kept feeding him even when he vomited due to his gagging reflex, and he entered the coma at 12, and yet the video said he had the mind of a 3 year old, but the truth is he had the mind of a 13 year old, somehow, they lied a lot, but the main plot is there, you are in denial of how cruel the universe is.
