The thing I love about your videos is that your so honest about what your talking about good or bad. I can’t believe you have 60 copies of any particular album; what type of storage capacity do you have for your personal collection.

I love you just showing the different pressings of the album and what makes them unique. I am a collector myself (more so on the CD and cassette side) and I seem to be diving into this kind of collecting. I think it means more to have all these cool pressings from a band I like, than trying to get a little bit of everything from all of my favourite bands and just digging myself a financial hole in doing so. This is the first time I am seeing a video of yours, I hope I can find more videos just displaying your records like this (I personally am not an audiophile so the sound quality doesn't interest me unless it is significant enough.)

Best version I've ever heard was DSOM (white) from the Netherlands. It was at the RMAF in 2015 on a blend of Red Wine Audio, McIntosh tube, and Zu Audio speakers. It drew some very serious attention and no one left the room until the album was complete.
@rockrecordreport7136 Жыл бұрын
Yes, incredible details on some of the instruments (on the Dutch white vinyl), guitars in particular "jump outta the speakers at you. But no one there noticed the bass being very shy? Why not?

Fingers crossed for a 50th Anniversary UHQR. Just hope that if they do it, it's at 33 not 45. I know audiophiles will defend 45 to the ends of the earth, but it is an album that should not be broken up, imo. The flow is too important to the overall presentation.

I think the orig Japanese test pressing with the live cover shot is rarer but that is a tasty item. Personally I prefer the orig Japanese Odeon over the 30th but it's a close run thing. The Japanese issue sounds more like a band, better definition but the 30th sounds more iconic with boosted bass.
