i like to think that the limited mutations are playlist based, since he seems to always get all the aliens from specific playlists rather than a mishmash, with him specifically limiting himself as to not lose his mind like the first time. it's probably also a result of him intentionally limiting himself to avoid going insane like the first time, with ultimate kevin being a result of his desperation and thus an exception to that limitation.

7:44 i had a theory that the reason for that is that when kevin Absorbs the omnitrix he would take the aliens of the more recent playlists, it works perfectly for this mutation, but with Ultimate Kevin and the OV mutation there is the problem of Diamondhead and Feedback, altough maybe it could be explained with the fact that Diamondhead basically replaced the spot of Chromastone and Feedback due to him being gone for the longest time and only recently being added back

I think for the Omniverse one the explanation is simple: he was in full control of it this time around, he was not power crazy and not in a rush to get more power. His powers taking 1/10th in amalgam forms might force him to select the latest playlist used by Ben or something, even if it doesn't limit him in powers

Whereas with the original batch, his body had already adapted to their DNA, and was able to nullify it once he learned control. 10:28 Also, I think that the reason he only had a few aliens out of the 60+ is either because he hadn't been absorbing long enough to get them all, or because he figured having that much power might make it harder for him to control himself and/or maintain his sanity.

I think the reason all of Kevin’s alien mutations (except ultimate Kevin) are locked to 10 aliens at a time is because of the playlists, while I don’t think it’s ever stated, it is possible that every set of 10 aliens is separated by a playlist, which Kevin can only absorb one set of at a time. Ultimate Kevin could even be explained by the fact the ultimatrix being glitchy and as a result whatever safe guard that’s lock his mutations to the 10 alien playlists isn’t in the ultimatrix as albedo never thought to program it… or couldn’t, more likely couldn’t

I think with the OG episode, Kevin wasn't absorbing DNA, he was absorbing the Omnitrix's energy, that had DNA encoded into it. Kevin 11,000 probably changed that.

I think Kevin's mutant forms depend on Ben's alien state. If Ben is transformed during the absorption, Kevin takes the DNA from the activated playlist (e.g. Eye Guy means OS bonus aliens). If Ben is in human form, the mutation forms from all unlocked playlists

I have a theory about why elemental Kevin was primarily elements, his body actually stores everything he absorbs so it feels familiar for him when he chooses to access it again, kind of like how in the future he can use alien abilities and shift in and out of amalgam forms, so when the omnitrix dispursed it's energy, it scrambled Kevin's DNA and forcibly kept him in a state made of things his body was familiar with since he wasn't exactly trying to absorb what the Omnitrix had

Imagine we get this for an adaptation. A BEN 10K show with the art style of classic. Ben is a famous hero who feels bad for missing Ken's soccer game. Btw Ken would be a striker where as Ben was a goal keeper. He contacts Azmuth to make an Omnitrix for Ken for his 10th birthday. He does and Ken's 10 playlist are: Humangsasur, Heat blast, Jurry Rig, Toe Pick, Fast Track, Water Hazard, Jet Ray, Diamond Head, Brain Storm and Echo Echo. Ken has an advanced AI Bot named ''Spanner'' to train him. It was built by Kai who would be married to Ben in this adaptation. (It's a reference to Omniverse.) In this adaptation, Gwen is in rehab due to her alcoholism after Kevin stole her child from her following a dispute with Ben and Max about whether or not the Plumbers should be under the U.S Government. Since Ben's secret is out he voted yes. But Kevin and Rook disagreed. Lean into the Civil War storyline from Marvel. Kevin, Rook, R Jet and Kiber's dog were termed as vigilantes for their refusal to sign the agreement. In a flash back scene, we see Kevin's team going to war with the Tennysons and the Plumbers where Kevin slices off Max's left arm. Rook feeling Kevin went too far surrenders himself as Kevin's team escapes. Devlin is planted into Ken's life to destroy but the two actually become friends and when Ben finds out who he is, Kevin appears and the two rivals renew hostilities. In the heat of battle, Devlin absorbs Ken's watch all while Kevin uses the antitrix. Also Kiber's dog was given a new Nemitrix. In further episodes Ken meets this white haired chick in his class who turns out to be the daughter of Charmcaster. But she develops a crush on Ken despite her families history with the Tennysons and becomes and ally after serious scrutiny from Ben. The final battle sees Gwen fresh off conquering her demons teaming with Ben, Ken, and Charmcaster's kid to go up against Kevin, Devlin, R jet and idk The forever knights? Ben destroys the antitrix and Kevin absorbs his watch to become Kevin Levin 1K. In a full circle moment Ben transforms to Vilgax to stop Kevin following assistance from a repentant Rook. Or you could have Generator Rex show up as ''the element of surprise'' to help Ben. Devlin could learn the truth and even turn on Kevin for lying to him about his mum. In the next season we could see Ken, Devlin and Charmcaster's kid who would bring the magical element to the team form a trio reminiscent of the Alien force trio. This show could air on Adult Swim since they are tied with CN.
