KZbin packed this great conversation with more commercials than the featured talk. We must not fall off the clift, jump out the window, or drink the intersectionality kool-aid that seeks to Marginalize the organic culture, history and Sovereign aspirations of Afrikans as Afrikans. Not simply a throng trying to reach the Auction Block.

Kehinde seems to object to the way Shakespeare continues to be staged at all. In part, it is because the stories and the poetry have lasted the test of time and are highly regarded the world over - not just the English speaking nations. Of course, the stories can be set in other cultures, and have been. But I suspect Kahinde would see this as simply a different form of colonialism.

@@SvenErik_Lindstrom3 when did I tell you to be responsible for anything? This is what happens though, conversations with Black people are treated like dialogue with caricatures or generic NPCs. People don't even actually respond to US or the things we say, just what they EXPECT us to say. All that being said, if we're talking about the United States and paying reparations to it's Black descendants of Slavery, one common tactic to undermine it's legitimacy is to frame it as a revenge plot against White people and not what it actually is: a act of restitution and recompense for a group of people who have been repeatedly, severely and intentionally harmed throughout the history of this country, WELL AFTER the abolishment of slavery. And again, this is quite well documented. It's not about White people. It's not a case against White people, it's case against the United States of America, an ENTITY. That entity isn't just White people. Additionally, everyone who lives here, regardless of when they got here, lives on a profit gained on the labor, blood, lives and sacrifices of Black American Descendants of slavery and the generations of wealth that have been siphoned from us. But we can remove race from the equation. I can make the same statement of White Men. Everyone who lives here, lives on a profit gained by White Forefathers, abolitionists, soldiers, scientists, etc. I have no qualms in admitting this, it is not my aim or desire to obfuscate truth. But I don't think it's very reasonable or honorable to expect to be reap the benefits of positive inheritance but expect to be absolved of debts inherited. Nobody alive died in the American Revolution but still inherit the protections of the Constitution, no? I'm not asking for an exception to be made. Quite contrary, I'm asking for consistency.
