One note, the pan protector attachment should snap on over the top not in the holes. Please see the owner instructions. Clipping it into the holes is not safe and is not correct 👍.. great video

hi, the pan protector is not installed correctly in the video. the plastic tabs does not go in the holes, but over the blade protector. so that the rim of the metal protector is flush against the plastic guard, and not loose.

just a friendly FYI - I wouldn't use it to crush ice. I have the same blender and actually broke off a piece of the blade from crushing ice. replacement blades are like $15 - $20

I have this one KitchenAid KHB1231 from walmart... it did not come with a pan guard? Is that an important part? Edit: I know what its' for now... I feel dumb lol... that is an important part... should I return it? Does Kitchen Aid have good customer service??
