In Korea the letter b is said like v. One of the English voice actors is also a native Korean speaker and they recognized this. Add in the fact that their current name is Grave and that Abe is not a traditional womans name, they determined that the name should be said Ave.

​@@vidianott the interview is on @pyrrhixz channel here. He's done quite a few VA interviews for nikke. But yeah basically in Korean GrAVE and AB(V)E are pronounced the same. So its one of those lost in translation situations. Where the hard copy script didn't take into account linguistics that the VAs later figured out. Kinda how Ingrid just calls you PROTAGONIST lol

Hate to say but if they fell in the ocean with how much Nikke weigh, especially from space, the depths definitely crushed them. Even if they survive that, 5 years without oxygen is 1000% not compatible with life. So best hope they didnt fall there >.> Edit: Graves va, Lauren Choo, said the reason the say Ave and not Abe is apparently because thats how it would be pronounced in Korea

Another fun thing about the rapture counter you can access after the epilogue is the ost playing in the background. The first phase is backed by the quiet and downcast track 'Hopeless,' but when you switch to the second phase and the number remaining appears the track switches to the intense combat track 'Encounter.'

You were just kinda absentmindedly talking about the Nikkes being in the water, but I think you are right with at least Little Mermaid. I really think shes underwater. And it makes sense because she is Little Mermaid. She might be living in a bubble right now. Heretics have as much trouble with water as Nikkes so it might be the safest spot.

There's been a few events where mass Produced Nikkes have a story, usually tragic. Neverland which is just recently getting added to archives half the story is about her life when she was alive. The Nier Automata collab story was about mass produced nikkes having a major identity crisis. Its likely never coming back but its good enough i think it's worth watching on KZbin

I’m kinda glad that the only antagonistic side in this event are just raptures (and RS, to some extent). Other things are just the world ending, no intention malice included. One thing that I would like to point out tho - the researchers are kind sus to me. Needlessly cruel (even by Misillis standards) and ineffective methods, didn’t even try the questioning part, no brain scan (basic procedure that would reveal a lot of interesting info), her not being just dumped outside and the fact that it’s literally illegal to bring things from the surface without proper checking speaks for itself. Those were, most likely, doing some stuff on their own without any supervision or authorisation.

Now that you finished Old Tales on YT and the event is over I'll now mention things I think I noticed I assume these are intentional too. I'm kinda curious how many you or others noticed. (Mini-game unincluded) 1st) The most obvious one Red Shoes in Part 2 was the only in the mirror shattered and itself her entire face/head 2nd) The area of Red Shoes on the map is the only place the corruption reports appear at for obvious reasons 3rd) In the Part 1 art the shattered mirror locations are Cinderella's head, Siren's Jaw, Hansel/Grettle's Arms, and a red mirror fragment which floating next to Red Shoes head probably signifying her legs. Things I noticied from Old Tales out O7

Random staunch Humanity First Lurker here to jokingly say "fuck yo homies, Ark for the win". Abe caused at least 1/3 of the issues Old Tales squad faced in the event. Personally the hard mode cutscene does a lot to "rehabilitate" Abe's image for me, cause before watching it I was even rather on the fence on actually pulling for her at all. (Also, I'm not joking, I'mma justify anything the Ark does until they actually do something just evil for the sake of being evil... scratch that, even then I'll justify everything. It's "humanity, right or wrong", for me.)

@@vidianott I'm just kind of the type that enjoys the concept of necessary evil. Ether embodies it at the individual level, but the Ark itself as shown in the story has actually been rather logical in all their decisions so far, even for the more callous decisions. At the end of the day, even if humans are somehow were at fault for the start of the war or the raptures, humanity has been put in a position where they can't afford a lot of what one could consider basic decency and empathy, because any single mistake is the end of humanity in its entirety, nikkes included unless the plan there is somehow just having a world populated by raptures and what few heretics survive after the end. Wonder if I'll ever finish the massive wall of text I've been cooking in regards to my guesses as to what the Ark is doing and why they're doing it from the position of the information baldy man and his crew have fed us in game.

Again I would have to respectfully disagree Cinderella is a great character and all that especially as seen in Old Tales everything she went through....but she's not "best girl" imo tho for me that's Rapi (poster girl for the game,one of the main protags,etc after all),Nihilister the list goes on. Speaking of Nihilister now that Vidia has seen heard a GLIMPSE of her I'm dying for her to eventually reach Nihilister's entire segment there's a reason for me she's one of the best girls which I will not bring up yet for spoilers. Nihilister aka dragon robot waifu has imo one of the best themes,best fights,design everything but that is subjective and agree to disagree
