In fairness to Iraola. Good coach. He's at a good level now. The big German clubs prefer German speakers (Bayern aside) and the Bournemouth project is good. AC Milan I think he'd be good at because he's an upgrade on Fonseca. The other jobs are locked for now. In England, all the other bigger jobs are filled so he won't move up. In Spain, I think going back to Bilbao would be his desire as the top 3 won't hire him (Barca and the Madrid clubs). Just giving context as to why he's not linked, not that he doesn't deserve it

I see why you'd say that but RVN's Leicester v West Ham and Brighton were completely different. Yes we conceded but there was so much more fight and clear organisation in his tactics. In the Newcastle game it was 1-0 to the toon at HT, no disrespect in that but to be forced into playing Ward in goal. He's not played since our last relegation season. 3 more goals conceded very quickly. Then another 3 v Wolves. Our defence has been poor all season and that's partly down to Cooper persisting with Justin at RB when the far superior Ricardo Pereira is on the bench. He's injured now and we're stuck with JJ, Cooper did not buy a RB in the summer. But Hermansen has saved us many times and without him, hopefully not for long, and with Liverpool, Man City and Villa up next, I'm not looking forward to the festive fixtures

Sorry to the Irish Guy but if he were honest with himself he would have realized that Rafa Benitez has been a bad manager since 2015. His Newcastle stay was exagerated by their fans. He didn't save them from relegation in his first season, they almost didn't finish first in the Championship, their first season back in the premier league they finished 10th but it was with 44 points and they were closer to 15th than to 8th they were a mediocre team. And the most damning team of all is that Steve Bruce was able to have the same results with the same squad as Rafa Benitez for 2 seasons playing the same terrorist style of football that Newcastle fans praised Benitez for. If Rafa had been born in Norwich and was called Sam Johnson you would have been begging for him to be sacked every season.
