A good rule of this game is that if anything looks suspicious, its because it is. If you see a pattern of anything, be it torches, rocks, flowers, slimes in the air, carrots , anything that looks out of ordinary hides a chest.

Here's how the wish system works: The four pointed stars you get from quests and opening chests are called primogems, they're the foundational currency of the gacha system With 160 primogems you can buy either 1 Acquaint Fate(blue sphere) or 1 Intertwined Fate(pinkish sphere) Acquaint Fates are used to wish on the Beginner's Wish Banner or the Standard Banner, both banners stay forever so there is no urgency on wishing on them Intertwined Fates are used to wish on limited banners that get changed every 3 weeks, this is where you get limited 5 star characters from It is far more beneficial to use primogems to buy the Intertwined pink Fates rather than the Acquaint Blue Fates Every 10 wish guarantees you a 4 star character or weapon Every 90 wish guarantees you a 5 star character from the limited character banner Every 80 wish guarantees you a 5 star weapon from the limited weapon banner

@@Roamerplayshonestly, weapon banners aren't really worth unless you really are aiming for a certain character's main weapon, and even then, if you dont get a guarantee if you'll get that specific weapon or some other permanent 5 star weapon (there is a 50/50 chance to do so, and if you fail the first 50/50, the next one is guaranteed to be one of the weapons on the banner. Acquaint Fates (blue spheres) aren't used anywhere else, so if you already have them (you have 14), you can just spend them on the banner, and you might get a cool weapon/character! :D

i need you to know that every time you asked 'are you proud of me, guys?' the answer is a resounding *yes!* literally cheered for you when you made the connection of 'cryo will make this abyss mage fight easier'! i love your interactions you create with the enemies, characters, and the game mechanics (like seelies), it's honestly very charming and refreshing to see someone lean into the silly a little! the game will let you know when there's serious things to take seriously, but in the meantime, 'get a job, glory!' and 'swingerdinger' and all are just (at least for me) making the experience of watching you all the more enjoyable! i like that you're adding your own lore to situations that would otherwise just be 'just another encounter' in the wild. getting a handle on elemental reactions will definitely make the combat feel smoother and more satisfying, so don't be afraid to play around with making new teams from the party menu (you can currently have up to 10 different party setups!) and see how different elements react with each other on the battlefield. in some situations, you'll find that an element really doesn't do much on its own, but can be devastating to your enemies if used in conjunction with something else-- for example, anemo (wind) doesn't do much on its own, but holding Wander's elemental skill on an enemy with a flame on it (pyro slimes, or those hilichurls with torches) will cause the entire area (and any enemies) within a certain radius to catch fire as you *swirl* the element around you! a small note about exploration and filling in the map: some locations will be more dangerous than others, and some will be blocked off due to plot reasons (for example, that wind barrier around stormterror's lair won't go away until you progress the main story). dangerous locations will be noted as such when you enter them with red text on the screen. you can absolutely continue to explore those areas if you'd like, and find the statues of the seven to expand the map! in fact, i encourage it! just know that you'll need to keep a close eye on your health bar, and it might be a good idea to cook up a few more dishes to keep on top of your HP in those areas... just in case. some extra notes on wishing and banners, since it is (understandably) sounding like it's still a little overwhelming for you: - the limited banners (currently *Reign of Serenity: Raiden Shogun* and *Tapestry of Golden Flames: Yoimiya*) will have 'time remaining' on their pages, which is how you know they're limited. you only have that many days to pull for those front-and-center characters, before they disappear for a good long while. you can usually expect them not to return for at least six months. - the weapon banner has a function called 'epitomized path', wherein you can choose one of the two featured weapons (which correspond to the two limited banner 5-star characters) to try to pull for. unfortunately, the pity rates are even less favorable on this banner, so most players will say that it's not worth it to pull on it at all. - blue fates (acquaint fates) are what you should use to pull on the 20% off noelle-focused banner, and on the Wanderlust Invocation banner. the discounted banner with noelle as its focus will disappear after you next pull on it, because it's only meant to be used twice total. after that disappears, you'll want to use the blue fates on Wanderlust, and not Primogems. the reason people say 'only use primos on limited banners!' is because the characters in Wanderlust never change, and never go away. they will always be there to pull. limited banners, however, are... well, limited. if a character you really like comes around, you only have that amount of time to pull them before they go away, and it'll be months before they pop back up! so people tend to save their primos for the limited characters they really want.

here's another tip: there are 3 types of challenges you can find in the overworld - challenges with sword shape: enemies spawn and you have to defeat them - challenges with hourglass shape: it's either opening a chest or collecting things - challenges with target shape: for these you usually need a bow user. you'll have to shoot and destroy some objects all within a time limit ofc

Important Tips: 1. Always complete the Archon Quests. (Top section of quests page, see the group names) I promise it isnt some silly quest to fill time. Each land has at least one and there are several parts. As you move to new lands, you have to complete the previous one and you get a pink fate too. Right now, you need this AQ to get more adventure rank points. (The green/white cubes in the rewards list) Getting to AR 20 asap will unlock skill, free characters, supplies, etc. 2. I think you’re missing how to combine your character gameplay. Elements can be stack on characters and on opponents. Elemental types are meant to work together to have stronger effects. Ex: hit Lisa’s electro burst, switch to Kaeya and hit his cryo burst (ring around him), switch to traveler and hit his burst. Now you have a giant swirling Super Conduct cyclone. Reactions are explained in the tutorial. Also, I like that you talk a lot 😊

About banners, oversimplification: The limited banners are permanent banners with a bonus. They just- duplicated the permanent banner, added a chance to get a limited character. You can get permanent characters in limited banners. If you don't read or don't remember that, it's fine. There are too many things to take in at once, banners, combat, managing quests... to me that's stuff you properly learn after regularly playing some months.

47:55 And so you've been baptised as a genshin player, most people's first death is drowning. Now that you've noticed how good in combat Noeele is, heres a tip for using her. At the of her normal attack combo animation, she knockbacks the enemies away and stands still for a moment, right then press R1 to dash towards the knockbacked enemies and immediately start fighting again. As for the wishes, primogems are used to buy fates, blue fates and raimbow fates. You can see what fates a banner uses by the color of the icon in their wish page. Never buy blue fates using primogems since the game tends to already guve them to you for free. That means feel feel to use any blue fates you have for the permanent banners (the ones that use blue fates) you can also see how many fates for a specific banner you have by looking at the top right next to the primogem counter. 58:43 that right there was a secret, hint bring Noelle. Eith abbilities you have your skill and ultimate ability. Feel free to use your elemental skill whenever you want, soam it if you can, uts the one triggered by R2, as for the ultimate ability, its the one triggered by pressing triangle, try to save those for groups of enemies, since it charges while fighting, but if its charged and you are in the fight, use it so it can immediately start recharging. The claymore billet you got from the quest can be used to make powerful 4 star weapons for your characters. In this case the best claymore you could make for Noelle is a whiteblind which can be made at the blacksmith if you have the materials.

Also, i wanted to tell you, as someone who's been playing since the game came out: Don't feel pressured to rush it. At least in my perspective, Genshin is a game worth exploring deeply to enjoy it fully. A good advice i have for this game is; if you wonder if you can do something in the open world, then try it! For example, if you see some weird unlit torches that are randomly placed, don't be afraid to lit them! You'll probably earn a chest! But of course, play however you like!! Now many of us are actually excited for you to see the other regions and experience their magic, both in their visuals, story and music! And mirroring everyone else, play the game as you want! In the beginning, it's good know some tips and tricks, but overall, it's still fun to figure things out at your own pace! Tutorials will definitely help out too XD Choose your weapon and artifacts as you see fit and the game will still be there to help you. In the long run, you'll get a feel for which one is prioritized and which one would work best based on your team and playstyle! Some tips! > Artifacts! The first two artifact categories are fixed- Flower will always give you HP, and the feather icon will always give you ATK. The other three categories (hourglass, cup, crown) have different stats each time. Leveling them up will be okay to atleast strengthen your characters, and you can still use them to level up other artifacts in the future! > It's good to know what your character skills do and what they scale on! You can check their "Talents" and read up some of their skills to see what you may need from artifacts. Some skills will get stronger with atk, some skills may need HP or DEF. Then you can adjust your artifact needs to fit which skills you'd want to get stronger. > Anemo (wind/your traveler) helps spread the element it first comes into contact with! It's good to help the fire burn against shields faster and stronger, and spread other elements to nearby enemies so you can set up even more reactions.

If you're wondering; it's absolutely fine to trial characters. Especially the first two in the trial menu. The chances to get characters in trial are very low, so it might actually make you miss out on trying out cool characters that you'll likely not see again for quite a while when they're gone. (Hope I'm not being pretentious, or repeating what others have said, but) Since Elemental reactions are the most important part of the gameplay, maybe try to familiarise yourself with your Main Character's Swirl first? It's the first connecting point between all the R2s you could be shooting at enemies. It takes an element already inflicted on someone, (glowing icon above an enemy's head) and spreads it around the environment, dealing extra damage. Swirl also takes in elements that are in the environment (like fires on torches, Elemental beings like Slimes, or even the rain). The only downside is that 'Swirl' doesn't react with Noelle's Geo Element and the Dendro of plants, but it does with Kaeya's Cryo, Amber's Pyro, & Lisa's Electro. Oh, and the Hydro in water too. Have fun.

To add to the great advice in the comments, there is a chance for limited character banners and weapons not to get the featured limited character. I recommend testing them out in the trial before attempting to pull for them as each character has different combat mechanics. For limited character banners: when you hit "pity" there's a 50/50 chance to get the 5-star, you could either "win the 50/50" and get the limited character, or "lose" and get a standard character (characters that can be obtained from the standard banner). If the character is a standard character, your next 5 star will be guaranteed the limited character. This pity carries over across all limited character banners. For example: if you pull on the Raiden Shogun banner (purple lady) and "lose" the 50/50, you will get one of the 7 standard characters. You could then either continue to pull on Raiden or switch to Yoimiya banner (red lady) and guarantee the limited character or save this guarantee for future limited character banners as the guarantee and pull count carries over to future banners as well. For limited weapon banners, the pity system is a little more complex. It takes 80 pulls to guarantee 5-star weapons, but you could get either of the two limited weapons on the banner or a standard weapon. You could also "lose" the 50/50 twice before getting a guaranteed chosen weapon. I would advise AGAINST pulling on weapon banners if you would like to stay free to play as it is generally more of pulling for a stat stick as compared to getting more gameplay from pulling for new characters, and there are plenty of 4-star weapons that you can craft or get from events that rival or are even better and more general use than many niche limited 5-stars. Another thing to note is that although it takes 90 pulls to guarantee a new character, there is a steep increase in chance after 75 pulls, which is commonly known as "soft-pity". Most players will get the 5-star around 78 pulls or so, and it's rare for players to pull all the way to 90 for the 5-star. Also, I really enjoy your gameplay! I really liked watching you read through the books and explore at your own pace, please don't feel pressured to play faster or learn everything at once, enjoy the game however you like!

Been enjoying this series a lot, I really enjoy watching you play and appreciating the small things and rpg elements like reading all the books I skipped. Its refreshing to see such a casual and easy going take on the game as well. I've been playing consistently since launch so I thought id give you some info that may help. About the characters and "wishing" (rolling/pulling for characters): I thought I'd give you advice since its such a big aspect of the game but can be confusing to someone new to it. Getting new characters is a massive part of the game and a huge factor in enjoyment as you will get characters with different playstyles, personalities, and backstories that really make the game significantly more enjoyable. Playing around the "Meta" is completely unnecessary and even then, its only really meaningful in one game mode. Just roll for characters you like, and if they work well together, that can be a bonus. Regarding the character trials, this is very useful for f2p players since your resources to wish for characters (primogems) are far more limited, so you can try out the character before you roll for them to make sure that you would enjoy their playstyle. If you are going to stay f2p I recommend trying the characters out. The game is relatively easy in that you don't NEED to roll new characters to play through the game, but it makes it more enjoyable, and typically banner only characters are more powerful with more interesting abilities (especially 5 stars). As a new player you will get primogems a lot faster for quite awhile, so you will be able to wish more frequently until you are caught up in content. Everytime you wish on a banner you have a moderate chance to get a 4 star, and a low chance to get a 5 star character. 90 wishes on the banner are required to hit hard pity, which will guarantee you a 5 star character. The 5 star will have a 50% chance to be the advertised character. The 2nd time you roll a 5 star, if you didn't get them the first time, it will be guaranteed to be the 5 star advertised on the banner. In total 180 wishes are needed to guarantee a 5 star with the worst possible luck. 180 pulls takes 28,800 Primogems. In practice you'll basically never hit 90 wishes without a 5 star as there is a soft pity system at 75 wishes, which improves the rate to a 1 in 3 chance to pull a 5 star. General strategies you could use for wishing/rolling are: 1. Just roll whimsically, as you feel like 2. Save primogems and only roll for a character you have set your sights on, lowering priority for everything else. 3. Save enough to guarantee a character or get close to it, and roll any gems above that amount more freely. (save around 20,000+ primogems) 4. Save all you can while playing through the story, so you can find out which characters you like the most. This will give you a better picture on who you want to save for. 5. Save all you can and hoard gems until you find a character you really, REALLY like. 5. Roll some on the current banners to help flesh out your account early, so you have more options, then swap to one of the above strategies. Rolling new characters early on is definitely helpful since the free characters are the bare minimum. Most characters will rerun 1-2 times a year. If you are f2p Id recommend not rolling specifically for copies of characters, especially 5 stars. You could reconsider it a long time down the line when you have a lot more characters. The current banners are very good and I highly recommend trying the characters out. They are all good characters who also work really well with each other. Raiden Shogun is very versatile and powerful and can give energy, buffs, off field electro damage, and good on field damage. I can't say too much about her personality since it could be spoilery. Yoimiya is not quite as powerful but has an endearing personality and simple playstyle. She enhances her basic bow attacks with pyro damage and can buff allies / do light damage to enemies when you swap out from her. Id recommend pulling on this banner as its one of the most synergistic line up of characters I've seen. Avoid the weapon banner as much as you can. That banner is only for spenders or veteran players who already have a lot of characters. Only once you have a lot of characters you like would I recommend even considering it, and I would only consider it if you want BOTH weapons on the banner. Otherwise pretend it doesn't exist. There are a lot of good f2p craftable weapons that are good enough. The blue acquaint fates can only be spent on the beginner banner or standard banner, if you have them just roll them on those banners (I recommend using the last use of the beginner banner for another character). Do not use primogems for the standard banner, only the blue colored acquaint fates (Do not buy blue colored acquaint fates with primogems). You will get blue fates occasionally from just playing the game. For the characters in the Paimon shop Id say you could grab any character you don't have (such as Fischl). Don't buy copies of characters you already have unless they are a favorite of yours and you know you want to invest a lot more into them. Some characters have pretty game changing constellations (constellations being the system that involves getting copies of the same character to give them buffs/ new abilities) so you could put that in consideration if there's one you really want. Otherwise use those resources to get more rolls. Try to save 34 starglitter for new characters if you can. The shop has a set rotation pattern that repeats between set characters / weapons. Hope you enjoy the game going forward. Its been generally a great time for me and the stories and exploration have been getting better and better as time goes on (especially the story has made a big improvement). This comment became a bit long winded but I'm Looking forward to see you go through the game and hope this helps you :).

Ooh, yeah. That's one thing he specifically mentioned that I forgot to say in my own comment. Fischl is a great character! She's one of my favorites, and always on my team. (Xiangling is also an excellent character, but you'll get her for free early on.) If you do get enough starglitter to buy one copy of Fischl, that would be a good purchase. If you don't (starglitter is hard to come by), don't worry about it. You may get her by chance, and if not, she'll be back in the glitter shop in 6 months. :)

But I have a few tips that would make he combat part of the game more satifying. *Tips:* Wander's R2 or skill is super useful. When you long press on the skill it charges it up and creates a mini vortex that sucks enemies in. It can also change colors based on what element the enemy is effect by. For example, if you used Kaeya's "dodge this" then the enemy would be affect by cryo (ice). When wander uses his skill on that enemy, his vortex will turn light blue (indicating cryo) and will also be able to use Cryo to attack the creature. Its really satisfying as well as super useful. Oh and this doesn't just apply for wander, using the R2 skill on enemies makes for a generally more cohesive team and is also (in my opinion) more enjoyable since you get to use all the different elements. *Artifacts:* For Artifacts, generally defense% won't help most characters. I'd say it depends on the character but aside from Noelle, I wouldn't recommend putting defense % on anyone else in your team right now. For the goblets, use the dmg bonus ones for whatever element the character is. For Kaeya, Cryo dmg bonus since hes cryo. For Wander, Anemo Dmg bonus since Wander is anemo. Oh and 3 star artifacts are better than 2* and 1* (4* and 5* are also better but for this world level 3* is nice). If a character is left on 1* because the 3* or 2* option doesn't look good, then I say equip the 2* anyways since it will alwasys be better than 1* and 3* will always be better than 2* and 1*. Anyways this is just random advice but you don't have to take it since sometimes it might be more fun to do things in a different way. I really enjoy watching your videos! Its so nice seeing people play this game. Wait, one more thing, you get a prize for selecting your birthday that is super important to get so I'd set your *birthday* :). 1:06:15 I would wear a T-Shirt wearing swingy dingy LOL

Your curiousity and wonder for this game is such a breath of fresh air, genuinely enjoying watching these videos! When it comes to the shop the two characters you can purchase with starglitter rotate every month. Don't stress to much about them as they will return eventually. Do keep in mind though that the starter characters (Kaeya, Lisa and Amber) show up there and the only other way to acquire copies of them is through the standard banner so generally they are the rarest to get constellations (copies) for. If you like any of the starter characters then you may want to save up your starglitter for when they come around. Another note regarding the shop, you can claim 10 wishes each month (5 intertwined and 5 aquaint) under the stardust tab. It's recommended you do this every month as they're essentially free. Can't wait for the next video! 😊

The Banners with Expiration dates are the limited time banners. I recommend pulling exclusively on limited time characer banners. There are 2 ways you can pull on the banners. The most common is Primogems which you can get by playing or by purchasing them. The second is through Acquainted and Intertwined Fates which you receive as rewards in the mail system or from events. Fates are located on the upper right hand side of the all banners. Intertwined Fates work on limited banners, and are located on the upper right hand side of the limited banner. Acquainted Fates work on the standard banner and are located on the upper right hand side of the standard banner. The only time that you should pull on the Standard banner is using the Acquainted fates on the upper right hand side of the standard banner as they only work on that banner.

I know there's a lot to remember in the game and it's a bit difficult to understand everything at once so I'm going to try my best to explain the gacha system and character banners. In Genshin, there are special (limited) banners that change every 3 weeks where you can spend your pink fates/primogems. It's those two banners that you already spent wishes on in the video. After 90 wishes, you're guaranteed a 5-star character or weapon. Between 75-90 wishes is when you have a high chance of getting a character/weapon, but you can still get one before 75 wishes if you're really lucky. When you pull on those banners, there's a 50% chance you'll get the featured 5-star character. If you don't get it (if you lose your 50/50), you will get a 5-star character from the standard banner or a weapon but then the next 5-star you pull will be the featured character guaranteed. Now about the wishes (fates), NEVER use your primogems to buy the blue fates or for pulling on the standard banner, use your primogems ONLY for the limited banners. If you get a blue fate from mail or from quests, etc. (you for an example have 14) you CAN use them on the standard banner because that's their only function and only place where they can be used. Of course the same goes to the pink fates, you use them on the limited banner. Also another thing, never pull on the banner with weapons, it's never worth it unless you're a pay to win player.

Glad to see you’re enjoying this beautiful game. You’re just scratching the surface of things and are in for a great ride. Honestly, you’re so early into the game, that you can’t really go wrong. There’s so much depth to this game but it’s all very accessible. Your timing might also be perfect if you finish mondstadt in the next few weeks because where the game sends you next will coincide with a very special yearly event in game and you will get to experience that in a whole different way to what you would any other time of year. I also had this happen to me three years ago and it was such a special experience for me I’ll never forget. Only tip I will give you from experience is to lock your recurve bow so you don’t accidentally use it as an upgrade material. Those are fairly unique to early game and are random in chests in only mondstadt if I remember correctly. It’s got an attribute that can be useful for certain characters in the future. So keep at least one copy of it because it’s rare.

To explain abt currency.. blue fates that u currently have 14 can only be used for standard and beginner.... u can still do 10 wish in the beginner banner even tho u alreadi have noelle. Pink fates that u already used for limited banner can only be used for those limited. Primogems can be used for both standard and limited banner but recommend to use them for limited banner only if u found the character u wanna have. In limited banner, the big character shown is the 5 star and the other 3 are 4 star character that are currently rate up. When u wish, u likely have a chance to get 5 star character or 4 stars shown in the banner. U oso can still get other 4 star characters/ weapons that are not rate up. And about the shop > paimon's bargain, u can buy blue or pink fates, character with the currency (Masterless glitters) u get after u wish in the banner (limited/standard/beginner banners) and get duplicate character. For the second currency (Stardusts), i recommend to use them for pink fates (buy them first), blue fates (optional if u still have stardust after buying pink fates). U can buy them for 5 each every month after the shop reset. U can get stardusts by simply wishing on banners (limited/standard/beginner). Also.... those two fatuis near the teleport, their dialouge change everytime when u are doing the main quest or aftet u finish the main quest of the each region (i don't remember excatly when they change but they did change). Maybe u can check them both when u are doing the main quest and finish the main quest. U can always navigate everything, quests/ teleport waypoints/ dungeons and also the pins after u create. So that u don't need to open the map so often. U can just check the mini map after u naviagte where u want to go. U can use elemental sight to see what u can interact while u explore and oso during dungeon.

i commented on the last video with some tips but ill add some more here! - the billets are used for crafting weapons! you can craft them at the blacksmith Wagner with some ores and a billet to make a 4 star weapon (since you have a claymore billet, you can make a better weapon for noelle!) - the girl you talked to at the start, Hertha i think, later on in the story you can go to her for small tasks which will increase your Mondstadt reputation! the later levels will give you rewards such as a compass that can show you chests, or another windglider! (there's a reputation level for each region each with similar rewards) -id recommend reading the character talents (character screen > talents)! they can help you understand what a character does and what stats they need on their artifacts to make them do more damage! - the statue of the seven that's south-east of Mondstadt is for Dragonspine. Its a pretty dangerous place but if you go there, make sure to have amber on your team so you can light torches to not freeze to death, and follow the path to try not to get lost! and the other statue more to the south is the start of Liyue, the next region! - regarding the chests that are blocked with the anemo cylinders, instead of searching for all three anemo flying things, you can use anemo powers (the traveler) while holding one to instantly make a wind current! - some chests and anemoculi are inside rocks (a seelie for the domain you unlocked was in one)! they look different from normal rocks so keep an eye out for them! -and i saw someone else explain the wishing system so i wont bother with that lol all in all, you're going pretty well so far! i know i was getting mad at a lot of things in my early days so i love seeing your reactions to everything! im glad you summoned the nice side of the fandom and i love seeing new players enjoy the game, have fun with genshin!!

Just discovered this channel and I've been enjoying a lot your playthrough I can't wait for the next episode. For the wish system ill explain it in the most simple way without technical stuff. · Next episode I would recommend you to wish in Noelle banner, this one is for beginners and gives you 10 stuff (weapons/characters) at the price of 8 and after you wish 2 times it disappears forever. You can get here another Noelle or another diferent 4 star since you already got 1 Noelle guaranteed. · After that you can only spend the blue ones on standard banner ( the one in the right ) I would recommend you to wish only when you have 10 just because its visually more exciting for youtube content than geting 1 by one. (Note: there is no diference after 10 pulls you'll get a 4 star character or weapon even if you go 1 by 1 so don't worry you can't mess up). · Then the pink ones and the primogens currency (stars) are used for the limited banners. Every 3 week it changes, right now there is the purple girl (Raiden Shogun) and the red girl (Yoimiya). Both are strong but I would recommend you to spend your stars on the purple girl cause I think it has an interesting gameplay that you might enjoy. ( you can always test them before pulling I'm just writing like this in case you wanna keep the surprise). Also there are a lot of 4 stars in the game so by trying to get the purple girl you'll get some new cool characters you can use. · I wouldn't recommend pulling on the weapon banner. Weapons can make you stronger but I think a new character give you so much new gameplay styles and team combinations that aren't worth sacrificing. Also the weapon banner is a bit stingy, you can spend 200+ wishes until you get the one you want if you are unlucky. I hope this helped you understand better what you can do. Have a nice day

It's not like he's gonna pull Raiden with barely 10 wishes anyway, so it doesn't really matter. I'd be better for him to pull Bennett for now than any of the current 5-stars.
@volnick311111 ай бұрын
@@SwieczkaNiweaniewierzeDarek I know I just recommended one so he can decide and if he somehow is lucky and gets the 5 star I think is good to aim for something you want instead of pulling blindly, like most people do.

@@volnick3111 Well, he also won't be able to level Raiden until he gets to Inazuma, which will take time, so is it really such a good idea? It'd be better to skip current banners and start saving.

I gotta say I really enjoy your playthrough and commentary. A lot of the comments already explained the wishing system, as for the rest, take it slow and as you go. Genshin was my first and only gacha game so I was just as confused as you, the game throws a lot of information on you pretty early on and I was pretty overwhelmed. Just take your time and ask questions, all will make sense eventually. It's really refreshing to see a blind playthrough so I'm hooked for the long ride lol.

6:10 - Fun fact: The order in which you activate Noelle's skill and burst gives you different effects. * Skill then Burst = Increase in DEF * Burst then Skill = Increase in ATK 10:55 - Noelle scales with DEF so the more defense she has the more damage she will deal. Also, her shield will be more resistant. Obviously in the early game I wouldn't worry a lot about artifacts and specific sets. Only after like Aventure Rank 35 when you can farm 5* artifacts is when I'd try to farm for specific sets. But even then it can wait until like AR 40+ since 4* artifacts are also pretty good.

i still haven't caught up with all vids, so i dont know if you already know it, but i really want to explain the wishing system/banners/ however you may want to call it. as of this video, you have 5 banners. the novice banner, the special banner-1 (purple as of now), the special banner-2 (red as of now), the weapon banner, and the standard banner, in that order. the novice banner: the banner with noelle is a permanent temporary banner. it allows you to make a total of 20 pulls, so 2 times a 10-pull. this banner has a price reduction, so instead of needing 10 acquaint fates (the blue orbs), it only asks for 8. it is permanent, by which it doesn't disappear via time gate. but it is temporary, because it has a limit of 20 pulls. once you did your 2 10-pulls, it disappears. sometimes it gives you a 5-star rated character, but it's chance. the norm is that your first 10-pull gives noelle guaranteed and another 4-star item or character in the second 10-pull or by chance. special banner-1 and -2: since some time in patch update 2.2 or 2.3, they added the feature of 2 limited 5-star character banners at the same time. before that it was only 1 character with added into the chance pool. every 90 pulls is a 5-star character guaranteed, thats called hard pity, but it may be the newly event limited character, like here raiden shogun on the purple one, or yoimiya on the red one. it's a 50/50 chance to get the limited character, you either get them, or you get a charcter from the standard pool. the standard pool includes as of now 7 characters, as said, you either get the limited 5-star character and win the 50/50, or lose the 50/50 and get on 5-star character from the pool. whats nice though is, if you lose the 50/50 and recieve a standard pool character, the next time you recieve a 5-star, it is guaranteed to be the limited event character. noteworthy is, that the chance slowly increases after 75 pulls, the 76th has increased chance to be a 5-star character. it's gacha, it's all chance, there is chance to be lucky and get the characters before the guarantee. 4-star items and character have a hard pity at 10 pulls. every 10 pulls is one 4-star guaranteed. you may get lucky and get more in 10 pulls, or earlied, on the 5th, 2nd, or whatever. weapon banner: the weapon banner, like the special banner, is a even limited banner and disappears and switch to another banner with the character banners. it features, unlike the characters, 2 5-star limited weapons. similar to the character banner, it has a hard pity to get a guaranteed 5-star weapon. the difference is hard pity here is 80 pulls, not 90. but the catch is, there are 2 limited weapons, plus the standard pool of weapons when you lose and dont get one of the two limited weapons. thats why it usually isn't recommended for F2P to pull here, because you may not get what you want within 160-180 pulls (that is hard pity, 1st lost, 2nd guaranteed after lose). the scenarios may look like this: - you lose and get standard pool item (80 pulls max.) - you are guaranteed event weapon, but you get bow for example, while you wanted spear (another 80 pulls max. already 160) - now you dont have guarantee for limited event weapon and may get one from the standard pool (!!!!!! it used to be that way !!!!!! now the game implemented the chart course mechanic) chart course: you select the weapon which you want to get, and if the first 2 5-star weapons are not the ones you wanted (one lost and one the other weapon, or two times the other weapon), the third 5-star item will be the weapon you chose. (totals to potentially 3 times hard pity to get what you want, 80+80+80=240 pulls) weapon banner usually recommended if you are fine with either weapons, because then you can stop after 160 pulls standard banner: it works like the special character banner, with the exception you can get here 5-star characters and 5-star weapons standard pool only. new released 4-star characters have their first rate-up on the special banner, after their banner is over, they are added into the 4-star standard pool. the good thing about the standard banner is, when you level up your owned characters and ascend them, you get for each character a total of 3 acquaint fate, which you can use for the standard banner and novice banner only. the battlepass, once you unlock it, grants every 10 levels one acquaint fate as well. by being active you get the blue orbs to pull on the standard banner and novie banner only. the pink orbs, intertwined fate, are for special banners only one fate, 160 priomogems. 10 pulls = 1600 primogems my recommendation. finish the novice banner, and each time you have 10 acquaint fate for the standard banner, do a 10-pull and see what 4-star item you get and potentially a 5-star item. you can also save the pulls and not use them. if you want to pull on special banner, you can try out the trial of the limited characters and see if you like to play them, then try your luck and pull them. some people save all the pulls and primogems until they have enough for the guaranteed 5-star, that makes it 180 pulls for potentially two times hard pity. dont stress yourself over who you should pull or not, i started the game by always pulling whenever, and once i had my first few 5-star characters, i started planning around them. have fun playing genshin ^^

This has been so fun to watch, it reminds me of playing the game for the first time ever and learning everything and being so excited about it! I love that you're learning so much more as you play its soooo charming to witness, it makes this let's play a lot more fun! For the wishes, its quite tricky to learn but if you go into it's details, they explain the wish system very well. In particular, you wanted to save primogems for the limited characters. For those banners you use the purple fates, which you can buy through primogems. For standard banner you use blue fates which you will end up collecting as you play the game. Totally recommend you use the blue fates you have already gotten on the beginner banner again becuase there's a chance you will get a new character for lesser amount of fates! For enemy drops, remember to wait a few seconds after you kill them because sometimes drops take a second to generate! You wanna collect those because you use them in levelling up character! For elemental reactions, you can do R2/skill on one character and then switch to another to do their skill and thus, trigger a reaction. You can set up a sort of rotation of switching between different characters for optimal play! But as always, find what play style works for you and is fun! (Love the swinger dangle lol) Theres many "rocks" that are kinda a different texture, you can follow cartoon logic there and just knock them down. More often than not, they're hiding treasures! If you see a suspicious blue "cloud", take up that challenge you will get level up books and materials! You spend "resin" to get those rewards, that is the game's stamina system I would say until you hit Adventure Rank 25, staying focused on the main story helps a lot! But also exploring is truly where the beauty of this game lies. I can't wait to see more of your new episodes, I can already tell your let's plays are gonna be my new fav thing to watch while doing work.

just so you know, there's no Rock Paper Scissors thing with elements. certain elements are strong against another because of the reactions they do. when you are faced with enemy of specific element, use any other element to get reactions. like, as you said in 1:13:27 , you can use electro on the enemies with fire shields but using hydro on them is still better. not coz water beats fire but coz the reaction between them removes fire faster.

I guess I'll give some advice if it hasn't already been mentioned that'll help you out: When swimming, hold the sprint button, then tap forward to save on stamina, or as Kaeya, you can "build an ice bridge" by using his skill again when it's available. The ice lasts just long enough for you to use the skill again before disappearing. Lastly, it's pretty obvious, but use Amber's skill to have enemies focus on it instead of yourself. It's nice seeing new players playing and enjoying this game.

Any books you will find that have roses and thorny vines on the cover are most likely written by the same lore important character (we have confirmation only on "The Boar Princess", but "Hex & Hound" and "The Pale Princess and the Six Pygmies" have similar cover elements, they might be her books too). She has special insight on the world due to connections with some knowledgable important characters and most likely her stories are more than meet the eye. They can be partially true or be a metaphor for some real stories that happened in the world. They even might to have a secret information about truth of this world...

Heads up, use the characters that you find fun, you don’t really have to use the most powerful ones since it’s more fun to enjoy a game with the characters you grew with in your play through also for the weapons, try using weapons on characters that help with their abilities in battle and if you get a duplicate a weapon, you can enhance them together to make their effect better in the maximum of five times and only recommend doing this, if you’re not gonna use the weapon on another character hopefully you have a fun time in this game because it is an emotional roller coaster have fun that’s what counts

Little hints about Artifacts - - Flower - Main stat always HP - Feather - Main stat always Atk - Goblet - Main stats - HP, ATK, Def, Energy Recharge, Elemental Mastery - Sands (clock) - Main stats - HP, ATK, Def, Elemental Mastery, Elemental Damage - Circlet - Main stats - HP, ATK, Def, EM, Crit rate, Crit Damage for now focus only on main stats and ignore secondary, if you get Set bonus - OK, if not, then do not care much for now, but at least try to get 2+2, so you will get "2 Set bonus". for now that's it. Also ignore Elemental Mastery on any Geo (earth) character like Noelle, it does almost nothing for them. Some hints about Noelle - - Spinning attack deals less damage, so it's much more efficient to use her Auto Attacks only - Her 4th Auto Attack is very slow, so you can skip it by dashing, like - Auto attack > AA > AA > dash and then again, it will be more efficient, but her 4th attack can stagger bigger enemies, so against big ones it may be useful sometimes - Use her shiels skill as it is ready, it not only gives you protection from damage, but also gives you - Knock back, Stagger, Micro stun resistance, so you can use her shield, switch to Amber or Lisa f.e. and shoot enemies with her without a fear that you attack will be interrupted - Important - When Noelle attacks enemies while is under her shield protection she heals the whole team - Noelle Ultimate (Elemental Burst) have the widest range and angle of attack - Noelle loves Defence stat, her Burst (Ultimate) deals damage based also on her Defence %, Her shield strength is based on her Defence % and her Heal is based on her Defence %, so for now primary stats for her will be mostly - Defence, Crit rate, Crit damage, or ATK if you have no Artifact with Defence main stat, fully ignore Elemental Mastery, cos it does nothing for her But anyway, play as you like, it is so nostalgic to see new players going though what we have gone 3 years ago, and we all were there when have not an idea how game works, so enjoy, explore and have fun, Genshin is a Narrativelly-Immersive Adventure game after all, so Immersion and Exploration (and not only world, but also how the game works) is the core of this game. P.S. - Btw, when you activate Keya's Ultimate, you can switch character immediately and it will continue to deal damage, while you can attack enemies with other elements, so you can trigger elemental reactions, like - Keya - Ult > switch to Traveller > use Traveller's Elemental Skill, so you will not only deal Cryo and Anemo damages, but also will trigger Swirl Reaction which also deals damage to enemies and is AOE, so you deal 3 different type of damage at the same time (if simplified)

theres so many characters in the game that choosing one would depend on your playstyle, testing the characters will net you a bit of primogems as a reward, it will also let you know what the character can do, like shield, heal, off field damage or on field damage. The gacha systems not the most generous so finding a character that aligns with both what you need and like would be ideal in the beginning :)

Also, note that there are elemental reaction. So for example there is an enemy whos wet, you can freeze them with kaeya, then use fire via amber for melt reaction or use fire then electric to trigger overload. There are other reactions as well especially for dendro.

The Wish system is essentially a gacha. You roll and with some chance you get the character on the "banner". The chance goes up on 70th-75th roll(wish), and you get a 5 star character when you do 90th roll, but if you get a 5 star before the 90 count, it resets. Whenever you roll on a "Limited banner"(2 characters with each their own banner) you have a 50% chance in getting the one on the banner(for example, Raiden aka that purple lady) or one of "standard" characters. If you lose that chance, the next time you get a 5 star, it will 100% be the one shown on the banner. I suggest you never spend primogems on the standard banner, only the "blue spheres"(I play in Russian so some names are unknown to me) you may get in random moments. It's up to you which limited banner to roll. You don't need to care about the meta, no character is bad. Weapon banners are not really worth it.. there are plenty of other amazing weapons you can get just from rolling on character banners. Now, the banner with Noelle, I suggest you just do it but without spending primogems. Two 10-pulls for 8 wishes is pretty free(and you also have a chance to get a 5-star there) Some personal advice from me, but you can do it however you like it. It's best you save up to 10-pulls: 1. It makes it less of a chore and more exciting in my opinion 2. Shouldn't induce gambling addiction as much. And for the finale, Whenever you pull you see a falling star. It can be one of 3 colors. If it's blue, it means that the highest quality you get is 3-star, which is usually some weapon. If it's purple(which at most occurs every 7 pulls) then it's either a 4-star character or a 4-star weapon. And the grand finale, gold. It's either a 5-star character that is pictured or one of several "standard" 5-star characters. You don't have to worry about whether you get one or another. For many more episodes you don't have to worry about team building at all.

I really appreciate your point about livestreams. They definitely have their audience, there are people who do them really well, and it could be argued that this game lends itself to the format, at least for some aspects of it. But as someone who doesn't have time to watch people whenever they're live, watching the recorded livestreams can be extremely annoying because streamers often have to ignore the game to keep up with their chat and sometimes it leads them on the most random tangents while a really cool moment is happening in the game, and that's just so frustrating.

I like to watch these videos as I do my farming routes every night. You've probably been told already but about how artifacts work: Artifacts all have Main Stats, Sub Stats and Set Bonuses. The Flower and Feather always have the same Main Stat that being Flat HP and ATK respectively. The Sands (Time Piece), Goblet and Circlet can have many different Main Stats. You can level up Artifacts, and every 4 levels a random Sub stat will be either added or upgraded. To understand what stats/ sets you should use on your characters, try reading their talents. There it will clarify what stat your character Scales off of. Ex Kaeya, Lisa, Amber scale on ATK but Noelle scales off of DEF. The Sands Artifacts can have the Main stats: ATK%, HP%, DEF%, Energy Recharge, Elemental Mastery. (This piece is mainly used for the stat the character scales with. The Goblet Artifacts can have the Main Stats: All Elemental DMG Bonuses, ATK%, HP%, DEF%, Elemental Mastery. This piece is usually used to boost your characters Elemental DMG. The Circlet Artifacts can have the Main Stats: CDMG, CRATE, ATK%, HP%, DEF% Healing Bonus, Elemental Mastery. This piece is usually used to balance your Crit Ratio. You're still very early into the game so you don't need to stress too much about your current Artifacts, but as you go on, they'll be much more important.

1:58:43 I don't recommend livestreaming Genshin. It's just harder to focus on stuff and you can easily get carried away and distracted. This is coming from personal experience watching other people change from videos to livestreams. Making videos allows you to fully take it at your pace, that's what Genshin's about. However, if you ever do end up wanting to stream this game, I suggest to only stream when you're mostly messing around or farming for specific materials (which you will find out about soon) either in coop or alone. Loving the videos btw, genuinely enjoyable to see you experience this amazing game.

So, to explain elements and stats: There are seven elements in this game pyro (fire), cryo (ice), hydro (water), electro (lightning), geo (earth), anemo (air) and dendro (plants). Elements don’t have any specific properties by themselves (besides cryo that slow you and enemies down when applied), but they can react with one another - hydro , pyro and electro being the most reactive and geo being the least reactive. You can see icon on top of enemies/next to bosses health bar when they’re have any specific element applied to them. every character deals damage based on their stats, you can look at characters talents to see what stat (hp/atk/def) they look at base, but overall tl;dr: - atk/atk% - increases most of your characters raw damage; - hp/hp% - your health - def/def% - how much damage you take from enemies attacks; also Noelle’s shield, healing and some of her damage scales off it - energy recharge/er% - how fast your special ability (Q; triangle in your case) would get charged (it is a bit more complicated, but that’s the gist); can only be gained via weapon substat or sands artefact piece - elemental mastery/EM - by how much your damage amplified when your character’s elemental attack triggers a reaction - crit rate/crit dmg - chance of dealing crit hit/multiplier of your crit hit; every character has base 5% crit rate and 50% crit dmg; rarely recommended to build early game as it is harder to get decent stats for it - dmg% - separate multiplier for elemental/physical damage; can only be gained through weapons’ passive ability or goblet artefact piece

Love to see your new video Roamer, I totally get the feeling of overwhelming, here’s some systematic explanation of the gacha stuff, I wrote for a long time and hope this will help: So there are two things to notice: 1. The banners 2. The balls Starting with the banner, there are five of them in your game: Beginner banner, Limited banner1(character event wish) Limited banner2(character event wish2) Weapon banner and standard banner. I will clarify all their functions and things you can get from it and some other questions here: There are two types of characters: limited characters and standard characters, the limited characters are all five star characters and they can be only got from the limited banners, these limited banners will change every several weeks, as you can see if you open the banner of Raiden Shogun, in the left end of the photo there is “Time Remaining 13days” this means that the banner to get raiden will change into other characters’ banner after 13 days, if you don’t get her in these 13 days, then you have to wait for the rerun of her banner to pull for her again. And the standard banner is an unlimited time one, it will always be there, and there are some standard 5 star character and weapons in it. The beginner banner has the same stuff as the standard banner, what you can get is the same, and you only need 8 blue balls for 10 pulls but the standard one need 10 blue for 10 pulls, the beginner banner will disappear if you finish 20 pulls in it. As to the weapon banners, emmmmmm my recommendation is just put it aside for now, as it has a different guarantee system and every F2P player are not recommended to waste primos in it. So for now just play the game and forget about the weapon banner. Generally speaking, the limited characters and weapons are more powerful than the standard ones, just generally speaking because the standard ones can also be very useful, and there are only two levels of characters, 5 star ones and 4 star ones, the 5 star one, most of them are very powerful, but meanwhile, no 4 character is trash as they have their different mechanisms and abilities and some 4 stars are even more useful than the 5 stars. Then let’s figure out some basic things of the gacha system and also a summary: 1. Q: What can you get from the gacha? A: Characters and Weapons 2. Q: What it took to gacha? A: Players get primogems in the game, use primogems to buy two types of balls( the pink one and the blue one),use balls to pull, 160primos=1 ball=1 pull, The pink one can only be used in limited banner, the blue one for the standard one 3. Q: What is the chance? 4. A: 5 star character or weapon is 0.6% possible to get form one pull, 4 star one is 10%, and don’t worry, it’s not gamble, there is guarantee system 5. Q: What is guarantee? A: every 10 pulls in the same banner, you will 100% get a 4 star character or weapon; every 90 pulls guarantee a 5 star one, but the guaranteed 5 star one may not be what you want, for example, if you are so unlucky that you get only one 5 star after 90 pulls, there is 50% possible that you will get the Up limited Character(for example the up character in the Raiden banner is raiden) or other 5 star characters in the standard banner.(now you understand why not use primos to pull the standard banner? Because pull the limited ones and you may also get stuff in the standard ones, so there’s no need to waste primo to pull the standard ones, if you love Jean, who is a standard 5 star, you can get her in the limited banner as well) To put it simple, I want Raiden, so I pull the limited Raiden banner for her, and when a 5 star come out, I have 50% chance to get her and 50 % chance to get Jean, Qiqi or other standard 5 stars; another thing to say, if you don’t get the limited characters in limited banners when you pulled a 5 star, then the next 5 star is guaranteed to be the limited character. Open you wish page, the character in the middle is the up character, and this is his/her banner, and if I want raiden,I pull her banner, then I get a 5 star, but I lost the 50% chance and I get Jean, then the next time I pulled a 5 star, it will be 100% Raiden. Summary of the guarantee system: 10pulls-----a 4 star character 90pulls-----a 5 star character 180pulls------ the up 5 star character That all of the gacha stuff, but you are also confused in the shop, then let’s talk about it. Open then shop, The first “Recommend” is like a monthly subscription of the game, buy the thing for 5.49 Eur, and you will get 90 primos every day you log in, last for a month, if you decide that you want to play genshin for a long time and don’t mind spending a little money, then this is recommended as it is valuable and doesn’t cost too much, but you have to log in everyday to claim it The second is outfits, these cannot be bought by primos but the real money, but every time a new outfit comes out, the 4 star outfit is free by playing the limited time events. 5 star ones are not free so just do as you like. The third “gift shop ”is not recommended. Just ignore it The Paimon’s bargains need some introduction: Every you pull, if it’s a 4 or 5 star. You get some Starglitters which can be used in the Starglitter Exchange in the Paimon’s Bargains to exchange for balls or characters or materials, I personally seldom use this, only exchange the pink balls, personally not recommend you to exchange the starglitters for the 4 star character as you get them in the banner, let alone the material, so this page is okey to leave alone as starglitters are not too easy to get. If it’s not 4 or 5 star in one pull. You get some Stardusts which can be used in the Stardust exchange, and every month you can exchange 5 pink balls and 5 blue balls by stardust, so just use it in this page, this page is okey to use as you will get a lot of stardust through pulling, but of course the priority is the exchange of the 10 pulls. The last page is easy to understand. Ok, this is the systematic introduction, hope you can understand. And you can try the character in the trial to decide whether you like them and see which banner to pull. That’s all of my clarification. Hope this helps.

Idk if anyone's already explained the wishing system, it's a lot of information but you see 5 banners: -beginner's wish: the first banner, it will be gone after you use 16 wishes on it (8 wishes twice, you've already wished once), it's discounted so you still get 20 items from it in total. You have 14 blue fates so you can wish on it with those once more (there's blue and pink, I use the colours so it's not as confusing), it's recommended not to buy the blue ones cause you get them for free all the time and the banners are permanent so you're also not in a rush to pull on them! - purple coloured lady (Raiden shogun) banner: this one is limited, these banners use the pink fates, those you can buy in the shop with primogems or other currencies. Personally I think she's really good but it really depends on personal preference, and that's why I always recommend doing the trials so you can decide which one you like more so you can focus on pulling for them if you're a free to play player! There's a pity rule on this type of banner: every 90 wishes you get a guaranteed 5 star character (like the Raiden Shogun) however once you hit 75 wishes your chances of getting one is increased significantly - if you're lucky you can get her a lot earlier, for example my first five star I got after only about 13 wishes, it's a gacha game after all so luck is a big thing. Another rule is that even though your 5 star is guaranteed, there's only a 50% chance you get the one that's limited, the other 50% is a permanent (standard) character (they're also great) - except when the last 5 star you got was a standard one then the chance of getting the limited character is 100%! We call this winning or losing a 50/50. The pity (number of wishes you've done) resets every time you pull a 5 star item! Also i dont think ive ever seen anyone go all the way up to 90 wishes! From 75 we call it soft pity and 90 is hard pity The limited banners also always have 3 four star characters on the banners with boosted chances of getting them! This boost changes every banner - red coloured lady (Yoimiya) banner: same as the previous one, it's limited. I also really like Yoimiya but she's a character with mixed reviews so again comes down to preference! In my personal opinion, since it'll be a while until you reach their regions - I would not pull on these banners and wait for the next ones, because you won't be able to get all of their materials etc yet, some of the next ones will be liyue which is only one region over so you can get their materials easily - again this is my personal opinion and these characters ARE limited and really cool so it's just something you can take into consideration but you don't have to listen haha - weapons banner: personal opinion: scam banner haha so the rules on this banner are a bit different, it still has the pity rule but since there's TWO limited weapons on a single banner it's rules have changed, the pity system now is 80 for a guaranteed 5 star weapon and boosted chances after 65 wishes, however it's not a 50/50 anymore, there's now a 33,3% chance of getting the weapon you want (the one you mark), the other two 33,3% are either the other weapon thats also on the banner or a standard weapon, so now you have a 33/33/33 to win, you only get 100% chance to get the weapon you want once you lost the 33/33/33 twice (meaning you pulled 2 five star weapons but both were not the weapon you marked previously)... So yeah I don't recommend pulling on this banner unless you really like one of the weapons or could use either weapon! - blue (standard) banner: this banner is permanent, you can check which characters and weapons are on it by clicking on details on the bottom left (same for every banner). Use the rest of the free blue fates you get on this banner, this one and the first noelle one are the same but the first one is discounted! Pity system is the same though without the 50/50 cause there's no limited characters on these, so guaranteed 5 star at 90, boosted chances at 75 wishes. Permanent characters and weapons can be really awesome too! I also wanted to explain the quests, there's 4 types: - archon quests: these are the main storyline (archons are the gods worshipped in each nation), I don't think much else is needed to explain this haha - story quests: a little confusing because of the name but these quests give lore about each individual character, there's two types of story quests - regular ones and hang outs, the hang outs are in a separate tab and they're only for four star characters! They also have a different playstyle than regular ones but you can explore that once you unlock them - world quests: these quests are usually only meant for world building and underlying lore of the world of teyvat, some are really big and important for the lore but most are just side quests - daily commissions: I don't think you have them unlocked yet but these are quick small daily quests, usually they take around 10 minutes to finish them all. There's 4 each day, if you claim the daily rewards in the book you don't have to do them but I recommend doing the ones where you talk to npcs because they sometimes unlock hidden world quests and achievements! Dont forget to always go to katheryne after claiming your four rewards, regardless if it was through the quests or the book, you will get additional rewards! I think that's a LOT of information so I'll stop here haha there's more stuff to talk about but other will or probably have already explained it

"This would be my first ever playthrough... we're going to be playing this until it's finished". 1000s of videos incoming. I hope you enjoy each and every one, though. You get some free primogems and materials if you do the test runs for each character once. You haven't done anything wrong, you're learning. Just be sure you want the characters on the wishes before spending your fates or primogems. The test runs exist to allow you to experience playing a character to see if you really want them or not. I've had my opinions swayed by playing trials a couple of times. They're purely gameplay; just fighting some enemies in an arena to get the hang of using a character. The test runs are always available for limited characters that are on wishes. So when the wishes change, the test runs change also.

Found your channel like yesterday and I've been loving the series this far. Also I'm happy to hear that you're planning on sticking to videos instead of livestreams. I've noticed that a lot of channels that start playing Genshin go into that livestream direction and I've never been able to keep up with the streams, so having videos I can watch whenever is great news.

About Wishes - there are two type of Wish items: Blue and Purple, Blue is used only on Standard and beginner's banners and Purple ones are used only on Event (time limited) banners, so do not spend Prymogems on Blue ones, but game gives you those for free so use them on Beginner's banner first (you can only do 20 wishes on it) and when it will end then use them on Standard banner, but use Prymogems to exchange them for Purple items (stars like things), so if you like character in Event, limited banner, then you can try to pull those characters from there. That's were Trying characters is a handy thing, so you can test Event characters before puling for them. Also there is no difference to Wish by 1 or by 10, every 10 wishes one four star character or weapon is guaranteed, but you can get more sometimes, also in every 90 wishes 1 five star character is guaranteed, also there 50/50 chance, it means that when you pull for 5* character, on first time you have 50% chance that it will be Event character or any standard character, but if you lose 50/50, then next 5* character will be 100% Event one, and when you get Event 5* character, then next 5* will be again 50/50 and so on. Ignore Weapon banners for now. Btw, now Event banners are Raiden Shogun and Yoimiya, both are quite good characters, but Raiden is really a good boost for account, also in that Event banners are 4* characters like Bennet (one of the best supports), Kujou Sara (very niche one) and Chevreuse (also quite a good support character, but have its niche), so I recommend you to Test Run them all, it also gives some rewards for doing it and you can see if you like character or not. P.S. - btw, in a shop, you can use Stardust for wishes once every month, you get a lot of Stardust from wishing, so try to get those every month, but Starglitter is rarer thing and you get it with getting 4* or 5* things from banners only, so take care what you are using Starglitter on, cos there are characters in Starglitter shop, that are really good and now it's Fischl and Xiangling, both of them are very strong characters, so getting them is a good thing (do not use Starglitter on weapons) and in the beginning avoid using Starglitter for wish items, cos getting characters may be a better idea, but anyway, do as you like and if you do not like those characters. P.S.S. - also forgot to mention that there is so called Pity, it means that most likely you will get 5* character from wished not on guaranteed 90th wish, but on 75th-80th wish.
@SgtCustard11 ай бұрын
Okay, I'll try to break it down: You get primogems from gameplay - chests, achievements, quests, daily commissions, abyss etc You can exchange primogems for fates. There are two types - acquaint fate and intertwined fate. Generally you always want to exchange for intertwined fate as these give you a chance at winning a limited 5-star character. You also occasionally get acquaint fates from gameplay - use these on the beginner banner to start because you get 10 wishes for the price of 8. When this is used up, use these on the regular banner. You can still get 4 and 5 star characters here but only the 'standard' 5-stars. When you make wishes you also obtain masterless stardust, which you can exchange for 5 of each type of fate once a month (generally always do this if you have enough). You can also buy some materials if you have excess. You can also get masterless starglitter when you obtain duplicate characters. You can use this to buy characters from the shop or more wishes. Generally it's best to save up to buy characters. Genesis crystals are a premium currency that can be exchanged for primogems, resin, or outfits. You won't need to worry about it. Finally - wishing. Every 10 wishes guarantees you a 4 star character. Every 90 wishes guarantees you a 5-star (it's rare to get all the way to 90 though). On limited banners you have a 50/50 chance of getting the limited 5-star or a random standard 5-star. If you lose the 50/50 you are guaranteed to get the limited character next time,. This is known as pity and carries over from banner to banner. You can built a very strong team while being entirely F2P if you want to but it does require daily play to make decent progress. However, the game is not hard and you don't need meta teams outside of optional content like the abyss. Even there, a well built F2P team can beat everything if you know what you are doing.

Btw, there is Genshin Manga on official site, it contains story about Vanessa. Do not worry, there are no spoilers or something, all Manga chapters tell stories about events happen before the actual game, so if you like stuff like this and reading books, then you should like Manga too. Also, even small creatures have some lore information in Archive, so if you are up into the lore and love s.c. Archeology, then Genshin is definitely the game for you, the lore tree in the game is insane, it may look simple on surface and not that deep, but as one who is crazy about digging into lore in games, Genshin have one of the dippiest and widest Lore Trees for today and even things that may look not important for the first time, always are connecter to one of the branches of the main tree and even give critical information, but not obvious at the first look. And thank you for your videos, enjoy and have fun.

Yes, you can use between your characters to create elemental reactions. For example, applying pyro to enemies with your Amber, then melt them with Kaeya. It will work. Also, characters like Kaeya have an elemental burst (the ult) that are still active even when you change characters. So you can change characters to make elemental reactions as Kaeya's burst keep damaging the enemies with Cryo.

Gacha games in general can get super overwhelming for new players so its very understandable. About wishes, if you look carefully, theres two different fates; Acquaint Fates and Intertwined Fates. Acquiant fates are used on standard banners and the beginner banner. Its not possible to use it on Limited banner, hence, you can just use them on the beginner banner and the rest of the fates on the standard banner anyway. BUT MAKE SURE do not use primogems on standard banner since theyre valuable currency for you to pull characters on limited banners. Intertwined fates is only possible to be used on limited banners and weapon banners. Primogems are basically a general currency for you to pull in the banners. Also, PLEASE do not buy acquaint fates in the shops, only Intertwined fates because you may obtain acquaint fates naturally as you progress through the game. EDIT: 37:15 The limited banners are the banners besides the standard and beginner banners. You can see theres a timer until the banners ends at the bottom left corner of the banner.

To explain the wishing system more simply: There are 2 Limited Time Featured banners (usually around for 20 days). A Weapon Banner that contains the 2 currently running Limited Time Characters main weapon. And the Standard Banner that is always there. It is generally recommended to only use your primogems on the pink Intertwined Fates (Limited Banners) You can use any Blue acquant Fates you happen to get on the Standard banner. Every pull is only a chance at a 4/5 star item. You are guaranteed 1 4 star every 10 wishes and a 5 star every 90 wishes. Although even if you do get a 5 star on the Limited Banner, it's NOT guaranteed to be that Featured Character. Its a 50/50 chance to be a Standard 5 Star Character or the Featured Character. If you do end up loosing the 50/50, The next 5 star you get will be guaranteed to be the Featured Character. This is typically refered to as being Guranteed. This carries across banners. The Weapon Banner is a whole other beast. It features 2 5 star weapons that go with the 2 limited characters running at the time. If you look at the banner you can see you can "Chart a Course" for 1 of the featured 5 Star Weapons. Charting Course basically sets you up to guarantee the weapon you chose after 3 5 Star drops. Although you can still get it before then. It's all Luck at the end of the day.

For now artifacts may not have a noticeable effect, but you definitely should equip them on all your active characters. The general rule i think is that equip the highest tier as possible which means more stars the better. Also take note of the artifacts background, Grey is 1 star (you use these to feed into your better artifacts to upgrade them.. Green is 2 star, Blue is 3 star, Purple is 4 star and later on you will get those Gold background ones which are 5 stars. The flower and the feather have health and ATK as their main stat always. The timepiece, Goblet and crown will have varied stats. Elemental stats will usually be found on the Goblets. the Crown usually will have Crit rate or Crit dmg but will also have other main stats. Equip the artifacts that have Crit rate or crit dmg or both for better benefits. For now as long as you prioritize Crit stats you will definitely feel that your characters will hit harder and survive longer.
