One of the worst jobs to do with wood is definitely the splitting or cutting of it to make it firewood. In this precise video you can see in first person the use of this 22-ton Balfor log splitter engaged in the split of very seasoned walnut and cherry wood with a humidity of 15%. The operator dedicated to the log splitter receives continuous logs to be split by means of a horizontal belt loaded by another operator and operated by means of a pedal. The Balfor wood splitter proved to be fast, reliable, robust and with the strength necessary to break large sized logs.The wood splitter is powered by a hydraulic pump driven by the PTO of this John Deere 8R; also to feed the rest of the work site.
