The more of these old live shows of theirs I watch the more I gain a deeper admiration for them. They really give everything they have in these performances. It's not 4 minutes in before Buzz is drenched in sweat and pushing himself to his limits. I notice in these older ones how much more energetic and intense his stage presence is.

I think this is my favorite era of Melvins live. Shit was dialed in. Skinny Dale with the gong and his speedo and gardening gloves. Buzz with the fat guitar tones. And I always liked Mark D.

Mark D. on Bass was the best to me... his sound ... listen to Night Goat ... than you get what i'll mean ... uhh do i'll love Roman Dog Bird, At A Crawl, Owen, Anaconda, Hooch & Night Goat ... so well played... wish we had a Soundboard recording ;-) Nobody play's like Dave... the floor tom's as hanging tom's ... so profound ... saw them many times live in the 90' ... did also some live videos of there show's... huge huge influence ... always honest with feeds on ground... just huge respect! ❤‍🔥
