There is something so therapeutic about this song. I was an absolute mess this morning, dripping in self-doubt. I played this song while I was standing by the road crossing and it suddenly changed my perspective and just rejuvenated me. Something about the production is so smooth and slick that I can't get enough of this song. God bless Matt and George and Amber!

Nice! We were travelling through Connecticut and found a 4 star Japanese Rastaurant via 'Yelp'.. The restaurant was playing ambient music and we asked the waitress what station was on. The waitress went to the back office and came to us with a note...she wrote down 'The Japanese House Radio' on Pandora. Checked out the website thinking it was a radio station from Japan..lol...wrong....Discovered this great artist there.. 2 months later, saw the Philly show and had the opportunity to take great pics with them. So, Thank You YELP!!!! hehe

On accident is also commonly used, especially in UK, and also in Brothers on a Hotel Bed, by Death Cab for Cutie as in "When he catches his reflection on accident".
@_moonfall_7 жыл бұрын
I'm English, born in London but I travel all around the UK for my job and I can't say I've ever heard someone say "on accident" that I can remember. It is definitely wrong and it is definitely not 'commonly used'. Ironically I'd say I've only really heard Americans use this phraseology.

Oh, I hate that! I went with my parents to see The Phantom of the Opera and this guy sitting right in front of us was bobbing and weaving all around as he pantomimed the actions of the actors and sang along! First... his voice was awful, he couldn't hold a note and he was singing the wrong words! His head kept blocking our view of the stage and I got so mad that, finally, I reached forward (much to my parents shock) and grabbed the guys head and held it center while telling him, through gritted teeth, that I'd paid to come see and hear the ACTORS and NOT HIM! And if he moved one more time I'll grab his head again but this time I'll twist! He didn't move an INCH the entire show! As soon as it was over, and I mean the INSTANT it was finished, he RAN for the bathrooms! I guess he had to go for a while, but was afraid of what I'd do! Lol! If you ever saw me I'm only 5'6" and at the time 110 sopping wet with the sweetest demeanor you've ever seen, always had a smile on my face. He never looked back so he never saw how un-intimidating I was! Lol!

Vojta K. Vojta K. Yeah I understand what you mean. I agree with you. Amber is her own musician. I'm very happy that The Japanese House is on their own tour, but I have to admit I miss their opening act! I only ever found out about them because of the 1975, so I'm probably biased and overly associate Amber with them. I more or less just made the comment because I felt like people were getting criticized just for saying "the 1975 brought me here" and I felt like there's nothing wrong with that portion of the association of bands (because it is true for me at least). I really do agree with your point though. -Candice

So I re-found this song - I was listening to a snippet of a different song this underwater photographer used on Instagram last night to overlay on one of his videos and the tone of it sounded so vaguely familiar but I couldn't place it. I chalked it up to it reminding me of a Betty Who song I hadn't listened to in years and then this song by The Japanese House just popped into my head a few minutes ago - this is exactly the song I was originally thinking of. 😂 I love TJH! I had her on my old iPod years ago and forgot about it when I got a smartphone lol, so glad I re-found this! I used to listen to this song on repeat, it's such a moody song!
