We can't buy original panels anymore so we are going to have to make our own. Come along and see what we come up with.

Who knew that settling in with a glass of milk and some ginger snaps and watching a man sew would be such an enjoyable Friday night!

I think a walking foot Juki would help with the shifting. Maybe! We've just found your videos - are planning on tackling the interior of a 39 Plymouth soon!

Thank you! You’re helping me big time on my 48 coupe…. Question, can you do a video on the chrome trim clips? Chevs of the 40s doesn’t give me any instruction.

Looks great! Not sure I would use the hardy board to fill pockets, i/2" foam would have been my choice sewn in. End product looks very nice!!

Yes that would be a great option esp. if you want a little extra thickness or softness. I however wanted to get as close as possible to the original look of the hard compressed strips of cotton batting. Thanks for watching!

Very good job, very accurate. I was inspired. But did you buy the fabric online? I'll probably have to watch the other videos.
@TheJayhawker Жыл бұрын
Yes, the upholstery fabric was from SMS auto fabrics online but they are typically VERY expensive. They vinyl I ended up using was from Hobby Lobby. You can go to my channel and find the complete teardown and rebuild of the interior for this car. Thanks for watching!

Been trying for a couple weeks to get pricing from SMS auto for interior fabric and headliner for a 42 Chevy 4door sedan. Said would be a day. Or two Pretty loooong day or two. 😂😂

Hi Jayhawker, curious what size needle you are using on the Juki for the vinyl with the door board. Great video, we learned a lot from it. Keep them coming! Kevin says you are quite the craftsman.
