Nothing like that at all. In case of SMG, there hasn't been a whole lot for her to promote - and promoting something is part of the incentive (or sometimes a requirement of a contract). Let's see, there was Buffy donkeys years ago, brief appearance in one of the Scream movies, the Scooby Doo movies, and some other bits and pieces - very little during Craig's run, so she wouldn't be invited much for promotion. There are a few exceptions with Craig inviting friends for no particular reason, but you couldn't do this all the time as you'd also have a schedule and need other peeps. Given Craig and SMG clearly aren't friends and she had one appearance, she wouldn't get invited for the hell of it over, say, Kristin Bell or Mila Kunis or Larry King, people who are genuinely friends with him. Meanwhile, Paris Hilton or some other 'talent' has something going on and gets an invite (unless of course they annoy the show-runners or perhaps Craig himself). Status may be a factor but it's not paramount.

To me, she's the definition of nuanced actress (in days gone by when the writing was good, anyhow), and an annoying personality. Not much warmth comes through, and....kinda defensive. One of the gifts JLF has given us is a comparison of a lot of personalities, with many of them fairly real, relaxed, and playful because they get CF's humor and can riff with it.
