The greatest thing about Craig is that he made every guest feel like they were just having a casual chat as friends not on a "talk show". He never talked about what the guest was there to promote unless the guest did it first.

Blew my mind when I saw it, just before leaving a small town in Vermont; ended up in Atlanta a week later. As soon as I got a job I got a library card and checked this out- a mere forty pages and Kipling was able to develop this story which the filmmakers kept faith and did a rare justice to.

Probably because Caine is a hero of his but Craig finds him awfully boring to talk to. Not a whole lot of back and forth here, no chemistry, Caine's not listening back... So he's just gotta be polite, try and remember the standard boring questions he ceremonially rips up at the start of the show and let Caine have the audience to himself. Almost like a proper chat show. The sell-out xD

Mister Caine does an astounding job of making you feel that he and Craig are old friends. I have no idea if they are. But Craig has that same gift. So It's hard to imagine the two of them NOT being Instantaneous Chums and Pals. Thanks to our Channel host for posting these excellent moments. I hope you have endless fun sifting through the recording to pull out these gold nuggets.

I was hoping Craig would bring up the song by Madness called "My name is Michael Caine." Watching this makes my heart super happy, still. Also fun fact, I borrowed the audiobook read by the author " From the Elephant to Hollywood," from the library and I actually lost a disc somehow, unbeknownst to me when I returned it, so I was charged for the whole set of discs and late fees that I don't even own and it took me 2 years to be able to borrow any audio or visual materials again. Totally worth it tho

The iconic Michael Caine, with the very dry and somewhat absurdist wit in counterpoint to Craig Ferguson's constants pivots and turns. Marvelous! I really miss Craig Ferguson's Late Late Show. I simply do not watch that show anymore with the new guy. Ferguson was really really brilliant.

Michael is a legend and a true gent. I'm reading (one of) his autobiographies at the moment and he's such a good story teller.
