KEY NOTE: WATCH When Michael sings the lyric "Life's to short to waste a day" Michael points @ Oz and that is because this was done a year after Oz collapsed on stage and two tumors were discovered in his head. A few notes about Stryper; they have not had it easy. Critics withing the church communities. Walmart refusing to sell one if their new albums. Michael Sweet's (lead vocals) wife passed away a few years back. Oz Fox (lead guitar) has been diagnosed with brain tumors, and has since had one successful surgery. And a few more. But they have stuck to their faith and their guns. I was introduced to their music in the 80's; seen them live about 6 times, and still love them today.

“This is fiddlestickin’ deep.” Best comment I’ve ever heard regarding a Stryper reaction. You’re right. Deep, but simple, as well. Stryper is a fantastic band and amazingly talented. Always great playing and positive messages in their songs. They couldn't please anyone when they came out...They were too heavy metal for most Christians and they were too Christian for most heavy metal fans. Eventually, they carved out their place in the music and metal world. Surprisingly, aside from the Christians who liked their music heavy...Stryper garnered A LOT of Atheist and even Satanist fans. They were impressed with the music but also that they were unapologetic in who they are and what they stand for. Most people were singing about the devil and evil, etc...the usual stuff. Here was a band basically battle crying Christ is King! and weren't going to apologize one bit for it. THAT is metal as it gets! Side note...the reason he points to Oz Fox when he says this life is too short is because Oz is dealing with some serious health issues currently. Almost pointing to him in a sense to let him know that the band has his back and so do all of the fans.

I am now on disability, not allowed to work and my self harm issues at an all time high. Just so people know...I dealt with self-harm issues ever since I was 15 and I have boxes of letters FROM STRYPER trying to help me through scripture and just friendly words. They DO NOT preach unless you ask them to and even then they just give you ideas of stuff to read and THEY NEVER EVER EVER ASKED FOR A DIME. They did not have to I spent so much on shirts and posters anyway LOL LOL but NO they NEVER asked for a dime and they DO NOT preach at concerts...they are THE BEST people you ever want to meet. PLEASE pray for Michael and Oz as they go through some medical issues right now and AGAIN THANK YOU for giving STRYPER a chance from the Philadelphia Chapter of the STRYPER Fan Club. God Bless You.
