@@belgiumcomics2537 It's a polite way of saying they were officially reprimanded and put under tight scrutiny for the rest of their career plan. And no, I don't think you understand what he was saying. In a perfect world, yes, he would have done the right thing. But in this world, as a result of his whistleblowing (1) no one got fired or punished for their corruption, and (2) he got punished for reporting the crimes. So was it the right thing to do, if no good and only bad came of it? It's a systemic issue; collective action is what is needed, his whole point is that it is naïve to think that individual action does anything other than hurt the person trying to do "the right thing".
@neothaka
@neothaka 3 ай бұрын
@@belgiumcomics2537usually if your performance is inadequate, you're essentially placed into a performance improvement state. Can take many forms, but the bottom line is you try to improve in areas your performance is deemed inadequate. If you are still unable to meet their standard, the company can let you go. You can see how this system is easily abused by companies to get employees to quit without having to fire them (which is costly and can't be done so easily).

He was going to give me a C on a paper on motivating police as he had asked for a paper from my own opinion and I said most police had motivation weeded out of them from poor leadership and corruption, I had lots of sources and notes, but he didn’t like this then I did research and apparently he was in charge of the internal affairs unit and his detectives were investigating the police union who was sharing promotion exam questions and the IA unit tapped phones and then used the info for their own promotions, under this guys nose so this was an eye opener for me, not surprised now
