Question... what are the Bioline bags that hang on the plant?
@jessicabellone9134 ай бұрын
Those are beneficial bugs. Not sure what kind she has but they’re supposed to help with unwanted pests.

Great timing. Am so excited to have just purchased this plant, that was on my "wish list ", at our local nursery. It came in a 4" pot with 6 leaves and a new one is emerging as I type this. I thought US$40 was a good price. Planning on putting her on a moss pole, but thought I should wait for the new leaf before I disturb her. Recently found your channel; enjoying the content and learning a lot.

I’m so glad you posted this! I was gifted a one leaf cutting from a friend and the main leaf is now dying. I’m leaving the dying leaf on. It is already rooted, but it hasn’t done anything in several months. I have it in bright indirect light on my back porch. We are in Florida so it’s always humid (60-80%) and it’s been 70’s and 80’s degrees Fahrenheit. I’m crossing my fingers for it but losing hope at this point 😆

I would check the roots, I bought a rooted cutting with three leaves, potted it up in aroid mix and slowly over weeks the leaves yellowed and died, so checked the roots and it had rotted, and I’ve since heard they are prone to rot if substrate is too dense/damp. On the plus point, I cut the stem and stuck it in damp perlite and it started rooting within days, and is now pushing out it’s third leaf. Hopefully yours is fine, but worth checking

The amount of light is honestly always the only factor (if we take a strong root system and good care out, which should be a given imo) for good growth and plants achieving it's potential "full size".

Would you recommend semihydro for this plant?

Beautiful plant Claire!! Always enjoy watching your vids as I learn something new every time...like an unrooted cutting under a grow light... I just had it next to an east facing window🤔 Love listening to your accent too👍 Looking forward to seeing the chop and prop of this one. We are reaching the end of summer already but it's been sooooooo hot and wet still...loads and loads of natural humidity here in Sydney so loving the continuous growth 👏

I just bought a splendid cutting, rooted in moss. I should leave it in the sphagnum for at least a few weeks to acclimatise before I move it to soil, right? I am hoping I can get mine to look even half as good as yours!

Hi! I have a splendid cutting that is ready to be potted :) do you know if the leaves will grow as large on a trellis as opposed to a moss pole? I have an aversion to detangling moss 😂

I love your videos but I find myself regretting clicking on them when I'm watching from the couch, because your intro music is double the volume that your voice is. If I'm at my computer I will change the volume slider to half during the intro and then back to max after. Would be great if you fixed that!
