You are receiving this comment because I believe you are someone who may have fished the north jetty at John’s Pass on Madeira Beach in the past. The city of Madeira Beach has jackhammered the walkway out to this jetty and is not allowing people to fish from the rocks. There is a meeting at Madeira Beach City Hall on Wednesday, December 11 at 2 o’clock to discuss other options to hopefully remedy this situation. Please come and support other land based fisher men and women who don’t want to see another good fishing area closed to us. I use to catch big gator trout in that last spot you fished! But in the Past few years all I've seen are barely legal size trout. Also the Puffer fish in that area are BAD!! LOL Tight Lines brother!

Excellent video, the scooter is genius. BTW, I've been doing well in this weather lately using a 1/8 ounce Z-man Trout Eye jighead with 3" Gulp shrimp in new penny w/ a slow retrieve. The Gulp shrimp is almost as good as live shrimp but stays on the hook longer and skips up under docks and mangroves better.

@ I sight fish a lot of reds out of Ruskin and when they’re rooting around on the bottom, I like to have something that I can keep relatively stationary in their area till they find it. I can give it little twitches and hops and keep it in their area and the scent does make a difference I think even over Procure. The paddle tails tend to pick up weeds by the time I’ve dragged it past their nose.

@ that is great! Do you fish out of a kayak? I wouldn’t mind linking up so you can teach me that. I’ve caught a lot of reds, but I can’t seem to get them sight casting.
