At 22:27. That brown faced brick building on the far side is all that's left of the original Hamilton Spectator building. The newspaper moved to Frid Street in the mid-1970s and has since moved again.

At 12:17. That building in the center is the old Piggott office tower. That was considered the tallest building in Hamilton during the 1930s. Today it is a condo building. The top apartment is similar to many found near Central Park West in NYC. The top apartment includes an art deco tower and is five stories high. I went to a fabulous party in that apartment years ago.

At 6:09. That's the old IBM Building. That was considered a tall office tower when originally opened in the 1960s.

At 30:28. At far left is Hamilton City Center mall. It was originally called Hamilton Eaton's Center when opened in 1990. Eaton's, one of Canada's truly great department stores, closed in 2000. The mall never fully recovered. Major chains moved out and today it is closed up. Plans are for a condo project.

At 6:53. That's the old Stelco Tower on the left built in the 1960s. At right are the twin CIBC Towers built in the 1980s.

At 27:47. That's King William Street. The area has kept the historic buildings and opened restaurants and shops. However it never really developed into the hipster area shop owners hoped for.

Awesome that you made it to Hamilton. I was born and raised there. Hamilton gets a bad rap but there are some great neighbourhoods and cool heritage buildings. Glad you checked out Hess Village. And congrats on making it up the James Street steps…great training for future fire escapes, lol!

Thank's for highlighting one of my favourite Ontario cities!. Just to mention, that downtown square along King St. W. is called Gore Park, not Gage Park. Gage Park is quite a bit further east along Main St., near the base of the escarpment.

Ken i wanted you to go to Sam Lawrence Park, it best lookout in Hamilton. You should have turned left on st joseph dr at the hospital and than right on arkledun ave. That take you to ramp going up the mountain directly to Sam Lawrence Park. I didnt want you walking up any stairs up the mountain. Just the ramp I recommended you walk up. The Ramp has great views going up and down it to.
