Vanderbilt, Caruso, Jrue, Draymond, Bam, Jonathan Isaac, Lu Dort, J.Brown, Herb Jones, Jimmy Butler the last 5 years, Bilal Coulibaly the next 10 years, slim AD at the PF, but also now as a bigger 5, and Wemby, Mobley or even Chet and Gobert …

@@Anthonydu01630none of them play defence like dyson, also pretty dumb comparing bigs who are shot blockers to an on ball defender… doesnt mean hes ‘better’ than them but no one there harasses the way dyson does

The deflections and steals are flashy but you nailed it. Hes so scary cause of how strong he is, his length, his screen nav and then when he keeps you in front of him thats when the quick hands play in

Daniels had become one of my favorite players to watch. Gives me a reason to tune into hawk's games
@SportsZombie54Ай бұрын
Good breakdown. I would also mention in the NBA cup game he had to be the primary ball handler on offense because Trae was out and he was playmaking and scored a career high 28 points so he might be more capable than previously thought

Dyson is the perfect backcourt partner for Trae and he's only 21. And to think that the Hawks also got 2 first round picks in the deal is insane.

The 2022 class is busting out this season. Daniels is taking a leap. Mathurin, Ivey and Braun are having break out seasons. Sharpe has been out injured but he dropped 30 the other day. Tari Eason is looking good this year. And that's without mentioning Paulo, J Dub and Chet before he got hurt.

Im loving the defense from these young wing guys, u can tell they werent watching Lebron growing up lol. These dudes know how to put in real effort without being ball dominant, and there are so many athletic wings now those regular 3 and D guys are kinda getting booted out of the league for guys like this. Whether they end up developing their jumpshot or not, these guys dont just bring a regular 3 and D type defense to their team, they go full Kobe Jordan mamba mentality mode on defense and I love it.

@lotuslife3239Ай бұрын
@lesser6330 oh I'm sorry Bron has had good stints of defense, especially when he was in his prime playing with Wade. Throughout his career tho he hasn't been consistent on that end. I'm just comparing these dudes to Bron cause Bron is a well known wing player and a lot of dudes can get stuck trying to play a ball dominant style like him when it would be better for them to do what's best for their team, especially early on. Not every 1st rounder or even 1st overall pick gets the keys to the franchise their rookie year. And I've never seen Bron guard dudes full court on the regular even when he was younger, I just like that type of defensive mindset a lot of players don't have. Past couple years the NBA has seen an increase in that.
