Every album is special in its own way and it's so hard to pick a favourite because they're consistently incredible. Sam's Town is probably my favourite album of all time (out of all artists) and similarly, Imploding the Mirage, Battle Born, and Hot Fuss are in the top 10. But I also really love Wonderful Wonderful and Day & Age, just not as much as the others...but both are still masterpieces. The Killers are the best 💕

The entire album is absolutely amazing - one of their most emotionally charged, period. Hints of "Day & Age", "Sam's Town", and even the solo albums swirled into the post-"Battleborn" desertscapes, washed over with distant neon lights. Truly a beacon in these dark times - easily the best thing that's happened in 2020 so far...and my album of the year. It brought me to tears because it's THAT strong. Those who haven't heard the entire thing - prepare yourselves for the mirage to be imploded TOMORROW!!!!

Yeah I have heard that it is their previous five albums combined in terms of musical style. It seems to have the synth sensibilities of Hot Fuss, the Americana grandiosity of Sam’s Town, the peppiness of Day & Age, the desert aesthetic of Battle Born and the maturity of Wonderful Wonderful based on what we’ve heard so far.
@WhileHeavenWeptofficial4 жыл бұрын
@@doctorwhat3683 that pretty much sums it up... sprinkle a bit of The Desired Effect too and that pretty much nails it. @Joker-zh5yg4 жыл бұрын
Idk if you feel this. But his voice is a lot similar to 80s singers. His voice sounds like John parr, John Farnham, and Stan Bush. It also feels like his voice is one of those that belongs in an 80s movie that has that theme song you can’t forget. Also it does not help that the song is very pumping and motivating and it has this 80s motivational music tone. in a way that’s how I feel the Nostalgia of his voice but then again I wasn’t around in the 80s.

Hands down one of the best songs that they have written. It feels like an interlude between Sam's Town and Day and Age. For me at least it will be one of their signature songs like "Mr. Brightside" and "When You Were Young"

I tried going against my own soul's warning But in the end, something just didn't feel right Oh I tried diving even though the sky was storming I just wanted to get back to where you are If you could see through the banner of the sun Into eternity's eyes Like a vision reaching down to you Would you turn away? What if it knew you by your name? What kind of words would cut Through the clutter of the whirlwind of these days? I tried going against my own soul's warning And in the end, something just didn't feel right Oh I tried diving, even though the sky was storming Thunderheads were forming But man I thought I could fly And when I hit the ground It made a messed up sound And it kept on rattling through my days And cutting up my nights Like a goddamned knife And it got me thinking, no matter how far That I just wanted to get back to where you are I tried going against my own soul's warning But in the end, something just didn't feel right Oh I tried running from the memory and the mourning But the penalty kept on pouring And now I think I know why 'Cause when I hit the ground It made a messed up sound And it kept on rattling through my days And cutting up my nights Like a goddamned knife And it got me thinking, no matter how far I just wanted to get back to where you are.
