This is actually the prequel of "Don't Shoot Me Santa". This is when Santa started looking after Brandon. Then at the end of the video, he caught him. Then at the start of "Don't Shoot Me Santa" music video, Brandon was already tied up on a chair and at the end of the video, they have escaped. Then at the start of "Dirt Sledding" music video, that's the moment after they have left him.

man i love this song! out of all the killers christmas songs, this one is probably my favourite eventho it's not the most christmas-y. this definitely feels like a battleborn song. The killer's christmas songs definitely have a wide range of christmas meanings and i feel this one probably reflects the idea that christmas is changing and starting to open to corruption with things like heavy commercialism. i feel lyrics that question santa kinda show this.

In November of 2011 our house had burnt down. Apparently the fire was so hot that it melted the steel beam and the house caved in and burned all the way into the basement. We lost everything except a Bible, which was sitting atop the ashes. My parents had setup some makeshift rooms in our barn for my brother and I while they stayed in a camper. It was in this makeshift room that, in 2012, I contracted the flu and heard this song. I was miserable for almost 2 weeks and even sleep was agonizing because I had the same dream over and over again. I know this isn't really a serious song but it will always remind me of those really hard times. My nights WERE restless, and I felt how the Killers did in this video.
