To have the sprite or sugar water work, you have to cut about 2" off the bottom of the stem to allow the flower to fully absorb the sugary liquid. It'll make a big difference.

It only helps if they aren't wilting due to age, Sprite (or sugar) will make a flower BLOOM faster, but it will ALSO make it wilt faster too. If they're just wilting due to dryness, cutting 2 inches off and giving ANY liquid will help in the short term.

Growing up my mom always used Sprite or ginger ale to water our Christmas tree the first day. It was to keep the needles from falling off like crazy and increase the lifespan of the tree. If you guys ever do anything with moldy bread again, it’s usually much easier to make moldy bread from fresh baked goods, because they don’t have anything in them to make them have a longer shelf life

1. Before erasers people were using bread to remove pencil writings. Idea: Try to use stale bread as a pencil eraser. 2. Sugar water/sprite will provide hydrocarbons whitch eventually will be 'eaten' by flower to remain freshness for longer. Idea: Same effect you should get by adding vodka to water, 50ml per 1l.

Quick debunking: 1. When they blended up the eggshells, after they stopped and they take off the lid, you will see the texture immediately change and it's also stirred and the camera moves from the blender to a plastic bag. It's painfully obvious. 2. Before they "removed" the marks off if the wall, they switched the bread out for a sponge. You can tell that it doesn't crumble. 3. Can't you go to a store to get candles? 4. They selected the area with the water and changed the tint or they put food coloring or something. 5. They took a time lapse of the roses wilting and after they poured the Sprite in, they reversed the time lapse and aligned it up. Also, you need roots to have a plant survive.

I actually did a project for my elementary school science fair about what other liquids could be used to hydrate plants. Sprite actually turned out to be better than water. I figured this was due to the sugars and CO2 as I used fresh soda. It's really cool to see an idea I'd never heard of in elementary school be such a viral hack now that's it's been over a decade since I did that experiment.

They did not cut off the mould in the bread because if bread is mouldy, it’s all on the inside of the bread as well. So that’s why your not really supposed to cut off the mouldy part of the bread and eat the part that has “no mould” on it.
