Fun fact: the enzyme in pineapple that breaks down meat also prevents gelatin from setting. Any jell-o that has pineapple in it uses canned pineapple because the canning process neutralizes the enzyme

When you said the raw meat looked cooked... it WAS cooked. "Cooking" just means denaturing the protein, whether it's by heat or by acid, or by some other way. That's why ceviche is said to be cooked purely by the acid of the citrus juices. Now I want some ceviche....

Is the pineapple’s enzyme the reason for that weird mouth feeling after eating it?
@tricitymorte15 жыл бұрын
Naruto X Hinata yes. If your mouth feels tender or sore in spots, even tingly, that’s because of both naturally occurring acid and bromelain. I’ve had pineapple actually cause sores while eating it if the soil wasn’t right where it was grown.

This in a non valid experiment due to the fact that you used containers varying in size and shape. My 7th grade science teacher would be proud.

I always get excited for no reason when you guys pull out the blender, cause I work at Jamba Juice and all our blenders are the exact same as yours! (Blendtec). the only difference is your actual blender is a little larger than the ones we use, but the blender base is the exact same!
