I've always had a weird reaction to this song. It makes me cry. I think because it's so good, using a few basic chords and power chords and turning it into magic. It's a happy cry. I'm humbled in its presence. It's bigger than all of us. It's close to rock perfection. This is the spirit of rock and roll.

Hey James Chriss, thanks for your heartfelt comment, it means a lot. We put a lot of work into this and the reaction it gets here on youtube is very humbling for us. OMFG I'VE FINALLY FOUND IT !!! I've LOVED this song 🎵 ❤ since I was like 14 or 15 years old !! My baby brother Sean and I took turns on who sang lead on which part !! He was 9 or 10 so I usually let him have his way so he wouldn't cry and tell mom I was being mean to him lmao !! I lost him 4 years ago, but hearing this brought back a flood of tears and most importantly a flood of memories!!! Idk if you guys are still out here making music and memories, but I hope you are ! ! And for the record I'm singing lead this time Sean !!

Thanks for such an incredible comment Tiffany, and for sharing such personal memories! Amazing story about you and Sean, so sorry to hear about your loss but it sounds like you can remember him with a smile. We are still at it and you can go to our channel and see our latest and deep cuts as well. And here's the official video for "Beat/Switchin'": kzbin.info/www/bejne/qanOm6mBd7WEoNE

Hi Sam, Z here, doing Bandstand was unreal, just great, and yeah thanks my LP is a '59 but a real Frankenstein, re-necked and it was smashed to bits by a roadie and then brought back to life and it's now better than ever. One amazing night was when Joe Bonamassa played it in Toronto around 10 years ago: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZzbmouubahnY9k

I just saw them May 5 2018 at the Moonshine cafe and it was better than this version- maybe it was the drinks or maybe just live in the small venue but WOW it was just like i remembered it 35 years ago. They are back playing gigs now that Dave is healthy again and play oakville's Moonshine cafe a couple of times a year. they also have a new great song "Circle of Friends" and are putting a new album out apparently. Still the s'song (its actually 2 songs that run back to back on the album- prob Bob Ezrin's doing) that i hear virtually every day on Q 107 and the one put on the turn table or the CD in the car when i'm down. Cant help but smile when i hear it. everybody has to switch into glide a few times a week

Thank-you so much for this song! (Still crank it till this day) Absolutely an awesome piece that brings back memories of a really good time. I think it's an anthem for those of us who are, you know, OLDER. Look up Ford Theater in Wabash, Indiana. It's a very nice venue that I think you would like playing.
@thekingsarehere4 жыл бұрын
Music triggers so many great memories 65raven, and we were fortunate to come along when rock music still ruled the airwaves. The midwest was huge for us with radio out of Chicago and we always loved playing out there, so we'll look up that theatre and hope someday soon this pandemic will be behind us.

When I find one that touches me this way it becomes part of my regular routine. Might sound sad to some, might sound silly or unbelievable to others. But its just how this happy old lady rolls boys!! FUN! FUN! FUN! There are plenty of older tunes that I hear in my background that I sing along to without really thinking about them. This is one of those that I perk up to, singing along just knowing I sound like David while grinning like a nut. Lunatics Anonymous, you know.
@thekingsarehere4 жыл бұрын
Well Mitch wasn't Fun Fun Fun a Beach Boys song? Thanks ... we think our song is fun too and maybe that is a rare and needed thing these days... and speaking of the Beach Boys, could Lunatics Anonymous be about LA?
@mitchgawlik11754 жыл бұрын
@@thekingsarehere I almost tried to tie my "Fun Fun Fun" in with a Beach Boys reference but I was at a loss. Los Angeles? I just consider that another planet entirely. "Lunatics Anonymous" could catch on. There's enough of us around who don't think the world's coming to an end, we love our music and good times. If that makes me a lunatic then sign me up. I'm trying to think where I could fit into the Kings.
@thekingsarehere4 жыл бұрын
@@mitchgawlik1175 LA has changed a lot since we started going there, a lot more people now, traffic is insane etc. And the world isn't coming to an end but it will be different for awhile, we feel bad about all the lost jobs in our industry and of course the loss of gigs for us to play. So we are focussing on other things, making the best of it.
