The British Monarchy is a titular system, the Monarch does not have absolute power, he/she must work with Parliament. The 1000 year old Monarchy is the strength, the glue that keeps GB strong. The RF represents the people of the commonwealth. They are well educated, well spoken. I must admit-- I don’t get it. I love William and Catherine, the Prince and Princess of Wales--- not as royalty but as a delightful family. Why royals are still relevant in this day and age, boggles the mind. Of course, I’m American and we abolished the royal families long ago. It is tradition in the UK and it is nice to see how the people love their traditions. But we come to earth the same way--all born the same and we depart the same. The time we spend here depends on circumstances and accidents of birth. The royals are accidents of birth and their fate is different from most people and is preordained. They are given status at birth due to their position, money and influence. We are all accidents of birth and had no say in our parentage. That is where the resemblance ends. I for one judge people on who they have become. Case in point--HARRY-- he was born a royal, but is a pauper because he lacks a modicum of humanity. The same holds true of his wife. She w as born to working class parents, married a royal but shows a paucity of humanity. The two are blights on the face of the earth.
