Hello everyone! Look more like the Guards 💂♂️ than the Guards. Well done. Officer in charge was immaculate

When 30th Signal Regiment did it in 86 they trained for months. When they did their first warm drill session at Chelsea Barracks the Irish Guards CSM watching gave his guys 2 hours extra drill so he wasn’t embarrassed by them 😀

For heaven’s sake, get rid of the terrible ankle swingers. It looks ridiculous and even the Guards are guilty of this fashion disaster.

WO marches as if he has an injury?

That SSGT (at the beginning) looks an absolute plum. Slashed peak and marches like he’s washing the dishes. Arms get swung front to rear.

I do wish the M.O.D would alter the hem on the standard issue great coats .. it looks so untidy when they are marching … the officers don’t have the same issue on theirs ..spoils the look on what is a fantastic uniform … exemplary drill guys … very proud of you 🫡🫡

The hems are just fine. The bottom of the greatcoats may look as though they need ironing. This is because visiting regiments have to travel in uniform by coach to Wellington Barracks for the parade. Only foot guards, mainly the bands are permanently domiciled there. Actually the red tunics for the Guards are not hemmed at all...tradition.

Slashing peaks of headdress. Is it no longer an offence?
@kevinmorgan210017 сағат бұрын
Correct, it is not an offence, for at least the past 55 years that I know of.

Please explain the meaning of slashing peak
@mrjockt8 сағат бұрын
@@michaelamos4651 By slashing (cutting) the outside edges of the caps peak you an tuck them further up into the cap, restitch them and lower the peak so it sits closer to your face.

why are sigs offers wearing spurs
@CharlotteGrantonКүн бұрын
Spurs means she's also a mounted officer only mounted wear spurs
@heatherharvey3129Күн бұрын
British army officers with the rank of major and above wear spurs, as do the junior officers acting as the adjutant of the battalion/regiment/squadron, etc., assisting the commander of said groups, no matter the regiment, mounted or otherwise. It's a symbol of both rank and role within the group. It harks back to the days when all commanding officers and their adjutants would be mounted, while other junior officers would be on foot when commanding and in battle.

Sits are a mounted unit. That’s why they wear spurs.
