Thank you so much for this amazing video..😊 i really love it..!!❤️ my ancestors came from bohol as the story in our clan that our great3x grand father joined that revolution and when the spanish again took control of bohol.. they migrated north to an island known before as ISLA DE PANAMAO now Biliran. A safe haven for the the revolutionaries to continue their fight for independence.😊

hi just recently found your channel, great work at salamat sa pag gawa ng mga vids. Anyway Im a Bol-anon I heard from my father that 'Dagohoy' derived from phrase 'Dagook sa hangin'g hoyohoy' somewhat translate to 'sudden (action) (force) in a peaceful breeze' close to how you defined it. He got the name when he suddenly appears to one battlefield to another. Keep making cool videos 🇵🇭

But sadly they're using the neighborhood island to defeat them, and we are fighting ourselves a good art of war for the spaniards. Now that I know what he did to our country God Bless this man and the boholanos..

The Dagohoy Revolution was considered the longest among the Indio revolt in the Philippine Archipelago. Filipino and Foreign Historians set aside the fact that the Cordillerans in the North and the Moros in the south were Independent entities fighting and sometimes establishing treaties with the Spaniards for the 300 years of Spanish Colonialism.

Sagarino would not have been allowed to be buried in the church cemetery because he was not given the last rights. So Dagohoy would've had to dig the burial site elsewhere, which usually ends up in the forests.

It's because the flag was not a symbol of a united archipelago (la islas filipinas). It was made by tagalog revolutionaries and their allied provinces for their dream government. *The 3 stars -Luzon -Panay (it is not even the whole visayas) -Mindanao The sun rays are tagalog provinces allied to each others who revolted.

It is tragic that the Filipino's ideas about Philippine History was primarily shaped by American colonial rule. Who chose Rizal as the natonal hero? The Americans! Bonifacio, who never won a single battle became the father of the Revolution! An opportunist, Pedro Paterno, became a hero. Filipnos must rediscover their history.

Several of pure boholano surnames are not spanish but gotten its surnames from pure boholano/bisaya dialect. Because they refuse to use it as one of the reason of their opposition against foreign rule. Might be laughable as it seems to others but so proud how they stand on it and fought for their freedom.

Also some filipino words have sanskrit, malay and arabic influence more than spanish like sakit, dukha, budhi, muka, siko, mata, Raja, ako, kami, diwata, agimat, alak, suka, bathala, kambing, baboy, etc... and some Chinese like toyo, susi, bimpo, siomai. Spanish has only 5% influence witch is low. And filipino is an austronesian language and not some spanish dialect
