There was an Island in North of Solomon Islands called Bougainville Island. But before Louis De Bougainville named the island 'Bougainville'! It's ancient name is Ophir. And our great grandfathers knew that name and even told stories that the Island is called Ophir. There was a huge cave in the part of the island called Bunua Cave or Solomon cave where history told he used to mine there. Also there are some hebrew writings on the walls of that cave..

FILIPINOS THRIVE ON FAKE NEWS! THIS IS THEIR WAY OF GETTING VIEWS OR FOLLOWING ALSO A COPING MECHANISM SINCE THE COUNTRY IS SO POOR.
@KirbyAraullo9 сағат бұрын
I guess you missed the point of the video. If I am spreading fake news on this video then can you please kindly show us exactly which parts are “fake news” in this video? I’m serious, if there was a mistake I am open to correcting it, and I would truly appreciate it if you could help us out identify false information in the video. p.s. It’s also okay to admit you didn’t watch the full video or if you did it’s also okay to admit you simply didn’t understand it. Instead of spending the past few days by bombarding the video with hateful comments. Maybe if you just took at least 5 minutes to watch and understand the video then you won’t miss the point of the video. Kbye, have a nice day 😊

@ You need to fix your reading comprehension. I said you did not understand the video. I did not say you did not watch it. This makes total sense now. If you can't even understand a simple comment then why should expect you to understand the video. You just can't comprehend things can't you? Poor excuse of a human being.

Brilliantly done. I shared your "Salamat" video with friends and hope it catches the attention for the next generation. My parents immigrated in the early 1960s, so I grew up without knowing this rich history you provide in such a palatable manner. I hope you can expand your exposure on the major streaming services so Filipinos become known for more than comedians and singers. BTW, my late aunt, Dra. Emy Mariano Pascasio was the professor of linguistics at Ateneo back in her day.

Are Fil-Ams "Filipinos?" Legally speaking, no. Filipino is first and foremost a nationality. Literally foreigners who choose to become naturalized Ph citizens are Filipinos. "Blood" and genetics don't mean anything if you grew up in a culture and country soooo different from ours. They can claim their ethnic group though. Absolutely. Can they (specifically Fil-Ams) refrain from looking down on us, calling us dirty and poor just because they get paid in dollars (minimum wage)? Can they stop assuming all Filipinos live in small and dingy huts (meanwhile they live in cardboard houses)? Will they still insist Filipinos are Asian Latinos or Pacific Islanders? Maybe they'll continue speaking over and on behalf of Filipinos as if they are living our culture (because as Americans they must be more educated and must know better). 🙃 I remember one such encounter with a Fil-Am who told me I live in a hut and must be poor while he gets paid 2k usd a month. I just responded that considering his meagre salary, he should take care not to become homeless in the US since theres a housing crisis over there🤷🏻♀️

Sir Kirby, I heard a story of a Datu who was friendly to an emperor of China and became good friends. The emperor invited him to China and he lived in china for several years and died there. The datu had a memorial dedicated to him in China and he is buried there. Can you do a story about him? Thanks

given how civilizations go, and the dynamics between an advanced society to a lesser one.. What happened to the Philippine Islands a century ago is pretty understandable, logical even.. This country/Archipelagic's strategic location in the pacific CAN NOT BE UNDERSTATED. It will remain an influencing factor in the region given its geographical location.... What Filipinos should learn is how can we leverage this advantage in order to upgrade our country and its citizen's standard of living. More importantly to take on a more global role as a country. Yes we are leveraging our human resources as labor exports, but clearly that is not the only asset we have. We will always be in the radar of countries who have interest in the asia pacific region, that is a fact.

I am not a historian by profession but my hobby is history and in my research, I came upon a Spanish entry wherein the Spanish King Philip III proclaimed that Indios from the Islas de Filipinas bearing his and his father's name (therefore his children) shall be treated with dignity. No one in the Spanish or Portuguese realm shall enslave them or treat them equal or less than Indios in Nueva Espana. Have you seen something similar?

It was easy to convert Filipinos to Christianity knowing how much Filipinos adore children especially their own. So when the Spaniards introduced Santo Nino, the queen of Cebu request if she can have the image of baby Jesus. IMHO.

It's a pretty interesting premise. Kinda curious how this so called alternate Philippines came to be. Who conquered who? What religion does the Lakan and majority of this hold? Would Mindanao still experience seperatism if not from the Moros but from the Lumads? On another note, as a creole person I and my people would probably still be Subanons today if not non-existent due to a good portion of our genetics do come from Mexico and the Iberian Peninsula.
