They never sang together till Manoj Kumar forced the producer to change Talat Mahmood and take Mahendra Kapoor for the song 'Kaisi Haseen aaj ye baharon' for the movie Aadmi. Rafi Ji also recommend Mahendra Kapoor to Naushad Ji to get the Title song sung for the movie Sohini Mahiwal due to the composition being in High Octave.

Rafi Sahab was known to be a very humble down to earth person whose greatness was not only in his golden voice but also in his golden nature.
