i like using reticles personally but i will agree it makes every gun feel the same. kinda soulless. just whatever gun hits the hardest with the same couple sights on it. that’s why i’ve been running the ram and the hrm in warzone. they don’t need reticles

@@KekusMagnus red dot sights are definitely not redundant, they still have their uses since guns have visual recoil, aim firing stability and muzzle flash. A red dot sight helps in more ways than just improving target acquisition, it helps you visualise the recoil pattern and trajectory, and you can counteract the recoil force of a gun better with a good red dot vs irons which block a large amount of your viewmodel. There's a reaosn why red dots like the cronen mini dot and AIM OP V-4 were very popular.

Reminded me of the older World War II games where you got the ping when you shot him in the head because it knocked their helmet off. I don't know if it was Battlefield, Call of Duty, medal of Honor or all of them but it was always hilarious. Modern Warfare 3 does have a specific headshot noise but it isn't that comical ping noise.

It was for the visibility. ya'll complained abt how everything blended in too well in the environment and how that encouraged camping so they had to tweak the lighting to accommodate for that. Texture resolution by itself is equal if not better than mw19.

Most ARs have ttks only for mid range so that SMGS have that fast snappy TTK in close range. The only crappy balancing at least in my opinion is the snipers.

I miss MW19 a lot. It represented Infinity Ward at its best - a significant upgrade in graphics pushing the franchise forward, audio that was a labour of love with incredible detail and polish, weapons that struck the right balance between fast handing while feeling like they had weight and punchiness when you fired them. Good map design with not a lot of real misses. Fantastic gameplay innovations in modes like Gunfight. It was the Call of Duty that brought me back to my days in high school, playing MW2 on the 360 with friends after school every day for hours. I still remember the smile on my face in the first few games on launch, brought upon by the feeling of "we back, baby". I will always hold a bit of anger towards Warzone for what it did to this game. I can appreciate that it came at exactly the right time when the pandemic hit and I put plenty of hours into the mode when there was nothing else to do but the tradeoff with how it impacted multiplayer in this game as well as moving forward was never worth it. Black Ops: Cold War wasn't a worthy sequel and frankly was a step backwards but thanks to the need for Warzone integration torched the multiplayer and anyone (like me) who wanted to keep enjoying MW19 just...couldn't, thanks to how unplayable the game became. Even MW3 can't hold a candle to this game. It suffers from the problems that Infinity Ward worked so hard to get right - the weapons look and sound like peashooters. Entire classes of weapons sound the same save for what feels like a little pitch shifting between them. Snipers lack any sort of punchiness to make them feel like the powerful one shot weapons that they are. LMGs which are supposed to be heavy, powerful instruments of death barely sound like it. It just doesn't evoke the same feeling, which I so desperately wish it did. I've more or less put the game down at this point, playing only in small intervals occasionally which honestly makes me a bit sad. Call of Duty has always been my favourite multiplayer game, the game I've sunk the most hours in and MW19 ushered in another era of what felt like the golden years. I just hope the era hasn't ended so soon.

Sadly I don't think that is going to happen. They wanted to update the engine to be able to make content interchangeable from the regular campaign and 6V6 multiplayer into warzone and warzone mobile. In order to do that, they have clearly had to dial back the visual quality to make the game workable for warzone, particularly warzone mobile. Before MW2 warzone ran on a different client and a modified version of the IW8.0 engine. Their plan seemed to follow a similar path the what Microsoft did with Minecraft by making a single version that runs on PC's, consoles, and Phones/tablets, to have one version to save on development costs. Apparently, a lot of the senior developers left Infinity Ward during MW2's development when all that was happening, probably because of the change in direction the franchise has taken. We'll see if Microsoft changes how they do things, but for now the franchise seems to have reached a low point in terms of overall quality and fidelity. Part of the problem here is that there is almost no competition in the FPS genre right now.

Man 2019 was the goat. I'm still sad to this day that MW2-2 and 3-2 didn't seem as fun. I didn't get either of them, but 2019 was such lighting in a bottle. First time I'd enjoyed cod since BO2. Just the right amount of movement tech to keep things interesting and give you stuff to learn, but not advanced movement budget titanfall stuff. Just everything about the systems and gunplay felt so, so good. It was like when OG MW2 came out and changed the game forever. Since then, it honestly feels like most of the changes they made from 2019 into MW2 and 3 just made the game worse.

What I loved about this game too, was how well complimented the graphics were to the operators and later on, the operators skins. Each faction had people that definetly looked like they belonged. Even the battlepass skins were still pretty grounded compared to the stuff even MW3 or Vanguard started to do with their respective settings. Its the one MW where when they added, it never took away from the groundedness and seriousness and never took me away from the fact that i was playing as a specialized operator and not some crazy RGB themed character or collaboration skins like we get now. Rick Grimes in Favella will always be a crime.

MW2019 wasn't my cup of tea since I preferred the old school cods all the way up to Black ops 4. Never could get used to the slide cancelling and harsh sbmm, but watching you play this game back in its prime was VERY entertaining and you still are lol Been watching you for a long time and gotta say you, Slayed, Jolt and all of you are very entertaining to watch in general. I’m an OG and when this first got released I was beyond hyped and hyped still love this game It was just hard to enjoy when I only had my Xbox one. Once I got a pc life was amazing
