Hi Yvo, any news on Niigata area and the koi breeder's after these earthquakes? Hope everything's ok there?
@TheKoiPartner11 ай бұрын
Yes, Niigata seems to be oké. Lots of after shocks and breeders where pretty concerned because of the strength. No reports on Nagoshi yet, that is more close to the epicenter and to coast. Let’s hope it is all oor

@@TheKoiPartner Pleased to hear about Niigata, really appreciate your reply. After watching your channel I'm going to visit Aoki this year. Absolutely love his koi. Thanks again Yvo. 🙂👍

Cheers Yvo. Really enjoyed this video. Them Dainichi Karashigoi were amazing. Plus the round pond, never ceases to amazes me. Only down side was Hunter. I fully understand why people kiss his ass, he has money to burn. However, his money will will soon run out. He is clueless about koi. I have seen his arrogance in action at The Marudo KF.

wtf with ' koi mecca in japan'. What koi have to do with mecca and mecca is not in japan. If you look at mecca its totally a different thing.
@TheKoiPartner6 ай бұрын
Go Back to School my friend!!!! Meaning Mecca is: “ a place regarded as a center for a specified group, activity, or interest. a mecca for tourists”. The word Mecca has nothing to do with the place you are referring too!

Japanese Koi carp has nothing to do with any region. There is no ideology behind. People who are attracted by Koi carp because of not only their color of skin or glamorous shape but also their tender and gentle character. Koi carp has no idea about violence, conflict and discrimination. They have no fight. Therefore people who love Koi carp are healed and feeling comfortable when they have a look at Koi carp.
@FinnishLapphundАй бұрын
@@平原直-f4uThe expression is not about Koi only belonging to 1 specific region, it's referring to the fact there's such a large number of famous Koi farms located in the same area. There's definitely some good Koi farms also in other regions of Japan, but their numbers are simply nowhere close to the numbers of famous farms in the Niigata prefecture. That's what makes the Niigata area a Mecca for Koi. If hypothetically, all the famous Koi farms in the Niigata area closed down tomorrow, it would still be the area where today's Koi breeding originated, but I would no longer view it as a Mecca for Koi.
