Everything Kocurek said about Floyd is true. But the concern for me is that at this point in his career, to maximize his abilities, you really would rather have him split reps pretty close to 50/50 with another guy. You watch his tape with Buffalo last year and he started out like gangbusters and then tailed off quite a bit towards the back half as injuries forced his snap count to really climb. So I think an underrated factor in terms of Floyd’s production this year is gonna be the answer to the question of what we’re gonna get out of guys like YGM, Drake Jackson and Robert Beal. Floyd is an older player and that factor needs to be calibrated properly.

Should have moved up to draft Byron Murphy, the best defensive player in the draft, and a guy who would have taken this defense to another level. Talk about explosiveness in the lower body, Murphy has that in spades, and Kocurek would have quickly built him into one of the league’s best with those athletic traits and that motor he has.
