Colin Cowherd said this years ago, and while he usually spouts nothing but rubbish, he was on the mark with this one, and it's the most important thing to remember when drafting a QB: "the more chaotic the enrollment is, the more special a talent you need in order to succeed." Even very talented players in great environments fail (Trey Lance) because playing NFL QB is just so damn hard. If the environment is extremely chaotic (Chicago) and the talent is good but not special (Williams) it takes a lot of luck for that to work out.

I completely agree at least with the Caleb Williams pick. I don’t think it’s his talent as much as it is the coaching staff and we will see when we see how Mike Tomlin and fields do together.
