I feel like one of the reasons why rides get hate, is because of what they replace. For example, Jimmy Fallon replaced Twister: Ride It Out which people loved. Fast and Furious, apart from being a carbon copy of the Hollywood tram version, replaced both Disaster and Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue. When well loved classic rides with intense practical effects get replaced with half hearted 3D screens, people do tend to feel a bit cheated.

Absolutely no way that Kong belongs on a “worst rides at Universal” list 😂 Imo the queue alone is worth the ride experience, but it’s not a bad ride, either! My vote for ‘worst ride’ went to F&F, and I do understand why people compare one to the other - but Kong has a lot of practical effects and a lot more interaction, plus that giant animatronic is fire 😍 I do think that Universal leans on the screens to much as a whole, though, especially at Studios. For that reason, and that reason alone, I’ll also give credit to the marvel-themed carnival rides…at least they’re not screen rides 😛

I think it would be so cool if they tried to keep as much of the facade as possible from Poseidon's Fury and turn that area into a Pokemon stadium. animatronic Pokemon battles done by universal would be so cool

As someone that hated the idea of a Jimmy Fallon ride...I think it's an incredible experience and is just pure silly fun. As a person that does not like the thrill rides like Velocicoaster,I love that Universal has experiences rather than just thrills.

We completely agree that Kong is so fun and one of our favorite queues in the park. Also, that Kong animatronic at the end is so cool! Fun video.

The problem with Kong is that it's yet another screen-based ride and doesn't hold a candle to its progenitor, Kongfrontation. The ride portion is even worse than Transformers and Spider-Man, as the vehicle is just on a lazy slightly curved track. And given the vehicle's size, it can't twirl or do anything terribly kinetic. Fearfall could be spiced-up a bit to be more like Tower of Terror. Even though flat rides will never measure to signature attractions, they're important to get small kids accustomed to riding bigger and more thrilling coasters and the like. They're also great as family experiences (if you've got kids). People who deride Poseidon's Fury make me really angry, as it was one of the most unique experiences in theme park history. That Zelda is rumored to be replacing it makes me doubly enraged. A terrible decision on Universal's part. Supercharged was a mistake at conception. It should've been a coaster or something, as a slow-moving party bus is absurd given its IP. Can't stand Fallon as a comedian and really dislike his all-screen attraction. A huge downgrade from Twister. Simpsons is yet ANOTHER screen-based attraction. I know Back to the Future was the same, but it was balanced-out with attractions like Kongfrontation and Earthquake/Disaster. Universal is going to have to get rid of it, anyway, once the lease runs out.

I use the phrase Walk on also but Poseidon’s Fury turned into a Walk By. I do agree it’s a great picture spot and thanks for showing that head I never saw that. Excited to see what’s coming too. Also great video I enjoyed the entire vlog.

I have a love hate relationship with Kong lol I feel like the ride portion of it sucks(screen wise) but what makes the ride worth it is the queue, the parts before the screen portion of the ride and the Kong at the end! I wish they still had scare actors in the queue 😂 first time I ever rode it they scared the heck outta me!😂 Worst ride hands down is F&F😂

I got to ride Kong last year. I really enjoyed it. Jimmy Fallon was another ride I enjoyed. My husband got sick from the Doom ride. We didn't like Poseidon's Fury, but we are happy we did it since it's closing.

I go to Universal quite a bit.. for The Simpsons and Forbidden Journey... or for motion sickness in general... I get ginger chewing gum from CVS... it takes the edge off of the nausea, and doesn't make you drowsy like dramamine.

I love Kong but my family doesn’t because the first time we rode it we waited hours and it kept breaking down. I think it’s great if a short wait. I LOVE dr dooms! Have never ridden the spin ride. I need to. How can anyone not like the cat in the hat? So adorable.

I ❤the spiderman ride, the good thing about Dr. Doom is that you get a great view of the park. "Storm Force" I give a pass because you can find a ride like that at any county fair in America. I've never gone on The Race through New York because I can't stand Jimmy Fallon. If there was a Stephen Colbert Lord of the Rings themed ride, I would do it all day. I love the Simpson's ride. Its theme is awesome. I would put the Hurl and Twirl on the one and done list. You can find a similar ride at any county fair in America. In my small hometown park there is a similar ride based on helicopters

I love the Kong ride! The worst ride on that list was Fast & Furious. The screen is 2d and looks so cheap, hard to believe it’s not that old.

To be fair, the best part of Kong is the queue, not the ride. If you take it on the Universal Hollywood tour or skip the queue with the single rider queue, you will have a completely different (worse) experience. Hollywood one saves it because its part of a larger tour.

I’m so happy you love Jimmy Fallon! That is my top fav ride! Kong is amazing! Simpsons doesn’t bother me, it just seems a little rough. I haven’t done Dr. Doom or Storm Force. I always forget about Storm Force, it looks like so much fun! Since I’m not much of a coaster girl, all these rides are right up my alley!

Loved the video! Kong is one of the worst for sure! If you've been to Universal Hollywood, the Kong section of the tram ride is the worst part of that ride. Universal Orlando basically took the worst parts of that ride and gave them their own attraction in Orlando. Bunch of screens on a slow moving vehicle. They can do soooooo much better. That and Fast and Furious should be axed ASAP in my opinion!

Everyone has their own opinions and experiences and memories on many different attractions but for me, I do not like the fast and furious, and the Jimmy Fallon ride only because they replaced two of my favorite, natural disaster, attractions, twister and earthquake (disaster)…… and I don’t like Simpsons replacing Back to the Future.

Kong is awesome. Fast & Furious is cool also just not nearly long enough. Haven’t been on the Seuss or Fallon rides yet. The Simpson’s ride is….ehhh… an underachiever? Never got to see Poseidon’s Fury either 😢

Supposed bad rides have a use if its hot and/or raining to get into some air-con. I think people want first rate rides which cost a ton and take lots of development time. Thanks for a unique prospective and video Krystal.

I love Kong. It's one of my favorites. The beginning part of the ride has been closed the last few times I rode it. Maybe refurbishment? Dr. Doom ain't bad, it's just short. Tower of Terror is such a better drop ride. Why do people hate the Cat? I enjoy it. Won't try Storm Force. Too spinny. Poseidon's Fury was fun but am okay with it closing. The Simpsons is the worst!

Hands down, Fast & Furious is the worst ride of ANY amusement park I've ever experienced in my life. My favorite at the park was Poseidon's Fury, sorry to see it go, but times have changed.

Night show host annoy me, I don't think I could ride one of those, Jimmy Fallon isn't the worst, That would go to Jimmy Kimmel. However, based on the host alone, I would give this ride a 3 or 4 out of 10. Trevor Noah with the same rating, Stephen Colbert, 1 out of 10. James Corden 0 out of 10, Ellen DeGeneres 0 out of 10, and Jimmy Kimmel with the same rating. Based on Host alone, Greg Gutfeld, between 4 and 6 out of ten. H20 Delirious 9 out of 10. Just imagine if he was the voice of the ride, and they used his VR Model, just amazing.
