I remember when i was in a shipwreck trying to scan things outside of it. This really annoying warper was attacking me. But then out of nowhere pack of sand sharks came out of the sand and started attacking. Which basaicly gave me time to scan stuff while they were distracting it. Sand sharks are my favorite now.

I must say, warpers are in the beginning of the story my favourite, while im infected they're the worst but when im cured they're the best again PS: I hate it that they can warp you out of your PRAWN/Seamoth

Oh the memories. When I first met one of these I was in creative. I was still scared of it though so I stayed on the shore of mountain island. I actually thought the visions from the Sea Emperor was the Warper. It did seem like it, it was teleporting to the portal and stuff. I stayed scared of this Warper, saved, then left. I laugh at this memory after learning everything about Subnautica.

The seamoth EMP is the best defense against this guy. It makes them teleport away instantly and, damn the EMP is so useful to be honest....

@@TheLastBacon One hit from anything would make them teleport,but since EMP covers a wide area, its the best defense against these fellas, cant say the same thing for the Reaper, but atleast if he grabs your seamoth, an EMP shock will force him to let you go.

EMP is a must-have for exploring the reaper-infested Aurora. Fun fact: Holding down the EMP charges it up and covers a wider area and deals more damage, but it eats your power cell pretty quickly, a fully charged shock can kill any prey fish next to you.

Of course, that's not the case, but it kinda looks like it; especially with them maintaining an upright posture, enhancing their "not quite humanoid" look.

You know I have a theory about warpers, I believe some of the Architectures up loaded themselves to the warpers when the bacterium got out and before that happened too, since Architectures can do that with technology.

Hey bacon, maybe the warpers had used a like radio separator to get the distress call of the survivors which is how the warpers learned the location of the survivors and went into hunting and analyzing mode to perhaps find them and destroy them, since Riley’s radio was broken for the days he was in a coma, the signal wouldn’t go out until much later than the warpers would be trying to intercept or take from the signal, what supports my theory is that the warpers are able to communicate in a higher level of the normal radio frequency (hence the broadcast being partially translated leaving in gaps) meaning their communication can be picked up by the radios but not fully understood Just something to think about

I remember one of my playthroughs a while ago when I was looking around one of the numerous Degasi bases dotted around the big pink mushroom biome (never found out the proper name, or at least I can't remember it) and a Warper was insanely close to getting me, so I hid in the base. It teleported a crab squid that tried to get me through the opposite side of the room (I really fucking hate those) and I was just frozen like "what the fuck do I do?". Thankfuly the crab squid eventually fucked off, and the Warper was somewhere above the base so I legged it back to my seamoth and sped upwards through my waterfall like tears and a very manly crying fit🤣

The first time I saw a Warper, or as my cousins and I call them, Buttheads, I was first exploring the Quarantine Enforcement laser, coming out from the big moonpool thingy, when I saw it teleporting around. I got out of there as quick as I could when I saw it coming for me, swimming back to the beach. When I was at the beach, I looked up and saw the teleportation light explosion thingy in the SKY!!!

Is it just me or do Warpers get distracted by empty Seamoths? I noticed a couple of instances where a Warper would completely ignore me and just float circles around my Seamoth, staring at it. This mainly happened at the Sea Treader's Path, and it helped me farm some diamond and lithium there

Afterwards I set a locker full of diamonds and lithium I found in the caves on the ground and made a dash for the boat. The locker disappeared. Honestly the most terrifying sea creature out there. The Last Bacon If you think about it the warpers aren’t speaking about the player only , they are speaking about the other aurora survivors (well now they are dead) because they say “nine new biological subjects” it makes you more alone after the sun beam gets destroyed it makes the game much better by motivating you to continue and maybe find someone that is still hiding

My theory is when the precursor made the warper they made it look more like the sea emperor the tentacles the hands I'd even say the head shape looks like sea emperors.

Warpers kinda scary but if you have a stasis rifle it could give you a little time to escape

I feel the only real issue with Subnautica is pacing and could have been improved if the Warpers were more aggressive, similar to the Forest. Not necessarily as extreme as that game, but a constant antagonist could have kept the game from becoming repetitive. I was really expecting this to be a thing, they keep teasing the Warpers on the radio and they stand out genuinely, but they quickly just become another monster

I was only ever scared of Warpers and Reapers. I hate Warpers because they could teleport me outside of my vehicle in the lava zones and incinerate me. Reapers aren't a big ol' problem with my super-tuff, Pressure Reactive Armored Waterproof Nano suit, BUT WITH ANYTHING ELSE, they are a real pain.

I remember when I went to the void and I got lost and forgot how to beacon stuff,and then I turn around and see a Warper glowing before flashing my flashlight on it and seeing it teleport away before getting scared as a ghost leviathan killed me as soon as it teleported away
