Honestly, ignoring the fact that this clearly wasn't how the game was intended to be played so of course the physics engine would curl up and sob, that plan should've worked. There's an entire bloody island held up by overgrown floaters. Within the canon of the game's own logic, that plan should've been perfect

How the lifepod sinks into the ground reminds me of how I lost my first two seamoths, (or technically the 2nd and 3rd if I count the one I lost because my game crashed after not saving for a while) by crashing them on the island with the quarantine enforcement platform is and then they sunk into the ground

Without the change, you can glitch it for “no water” (water acts as air). Make a corridor through the floating island arch. Activate the mountain arch and go through. Then, walk into the base and teleport from INSIDE it. Now, the whole world acts as a “base” but only in the no water sense. To undo, enter and exit base. Good luck to you though, it’s very difficult to finish the game this way

One of my favorite things about oddball challenges like this for any game is the unexpected curveballs you get hit with. Things you never expected to be a problem initially (like the creepvines being rather tall plants) suddenly become a major issue to deal with. It's sort of like how in a normal minecraft world, blocks like dirt or lava are a dime a dozen, but if you get tossed into a skyblock world, those things are suddenly the most valuable possessions you own. Just accessing normal areas in a no-water challenge becomes expedition planning, bc you have to figure out how the hell you're going to get out again

8:00 You have the Habitat Tool. Once you have that you don't need the Lifepod. You can craft a Fabricator without needing a Fabricator at that point. An I-tube, a hatch, a solar panel, and a Fabricator is all you need to replace the Life Pod, all of which doesn't need the Fabricator to make. You didn't need to reload.
