Your smile says it all! There is nothing quite like the satisfaction, no-the sheer joy, that comes from creating and wearing something totally unique, made by your own hands. It makes me a little sad to think that too few people get to experience that these days. It is just perfect, and you are beautiful in it, dear Kate🤗

I just hope you are aware of how many people you inspire! There are so many who are making the quilts that you have demonstrated for us and EPP is going crazy including my daughter and I. I think I will give a try to make a jacket as well. I love denim jackets! The Sashiko stitching is very exciting too. I have seen so many projects inspired by you on Facebook. Keep it up, we love you.

Oh my goodness Kate, there are so many things that I love about your jacket - the recycled fabrics, beautiful embroidery, gifted fabrics from your friend, POCKETS, and the fact that you can keep adding more character over time. My most favourite thing though is your lovely smile and how wonderful you look in it. It is truly a Kate jacket! I love the jacket especially all the little hand stitched pieces. It is really lovely. I am glad you decided to keep the right hand pocket, that is beautiful. I also like that you chose to do the narrower band for the front. And to top it off you have ended up with two jackets by making it reversible. You have a wonderful eye for mixing and matching and putting together. Thanks for taking us along on this journey. Have a Blessed day Kate.

What a masterpiece. There's something magical about all the embroidery and design on the outside. The stitches in the abstract are so beautiful, and each bit also calls to my mind something in nature (sky, water, birds...). Plus all the thoughtful design elements. And the colorful lining is beautiful as well. It's a joy to look at and I hope you have many happy experiences wearing it! (How wonderful it must be to wake up every day surrounded by such gorgeous nature.)

Sewing on the sleeves the way you did, on the flat front/back is the way I ALWAYS sew sleeves on a garment regardless of the directions. Making a tube sleeve and then fitting it into the arm hole is more complicated and fussy than it needs to be. Hurray for you!!! The lining and denim are stunning!! I live on a farm in WA state (USA) near the Canadian border and appreciate jackets of all kinds. I'm loving the Boro look which is similar to the way I mend the knee holes in my husbands work jeans. I love your channel!!!

Kate is back!! Now you have a coat that rivals the coat of many colors. Loved your journey. When you were adding the pockets, I was thinking the same thing about them. Great minds think alike...lol. I thought of my Mom during the making of this coat. She would have loved the thought process as did I. Patterns are just a stepping stones. She would repurposed cloth also. Just brilliant! 👍👍👏👏

Each thing we make tells a special story of us. Part of our self and love go into each item. You have inspired me again. Even though I have plenty of projects going I’m always interested in these “new to me” challenges! I ordered the book of boro and a few supplies from the border tart. I knew I was saving that box of old denim jeans for some reason. I will send one of the grandkids up to the attic to fetch it. I’m thinking ahead to fall and winter and plenty of slow stitching! I am wrapping up a project that I’ve been working on for the past year, which is making boy and girl baby items for each one of my grandchildren: flannel receiving blankets, bibs, burp cloths and hand knit baby sweaters. A little layette made with lots of love!! Your ideas and quality of living are really inspirational! ❤

Your jacket came out beautifully. Thanks to the great fabrics and stitching used it is a treat for the eye from either side you wear it on. Kinda also love the idea that it’s never really done as you can live in it for a bit and add on more decorative touches as the ideas come to you. Reminds me a bit of the embroidery and patching we did as teens on western style denim jackets but you are not constrained by an already manufactured garment, so cool. Kudos to you Kate you did a wonderful job!
