Most of what I respect about Jack Black is this. For one, whether he writes his lines or not, he's an absolute master of timing, tone, and delivery of those lines for the exact effect he's going for. Sometimes the effect he wants could be described as wildcard hilarity but of you pay attention you'll see that he steers entire scenes this way. Secondly, he's amazing in the way he recognizes how, not just spoken words, but even just his physical presence in a scene effects that scene so much. In this interview, I don't think Jack Black was sitting that way simply because he doesn't give a fuck. I think he was sitting like a bit of a slouch in order to show a contrast between himself and Dwayne Johnson and to try and make his costar look even better. Seems to me like an ingenious and selfless move to make his costar look good by making himself look a bit awkward. Good on ya, JB!
