I'm currently living out of my car which I try and make the best of. I've applied to a bunch of places I'm hoping to get a call back. if anyone could help me with whatever you could bc I'm needing stuff like hand warmers which I stuff my clothes at night when it's cold. Also cheap burgers/fastfood. I know times are tough for everyone these days but if you're able to help me I have paypal username: pay2winlife If you're unable to help I totally understand.

Look I am that typical American who doesn’t follow the sport of football, doesn’t know the first thing about it. But after listening to James in this video express the severity of this proposal and the damage it will cause and how he said explained all of this with so much heart….I could get on google fast enough to find out more information about this. He caused me to be generally emotionally invested in this situation and the future of the sport and how this will effect the fans of the sport because seriously there are no other type of sport fans on the planet that go as hard for their teams and players as football fans. Y’all are something serious!🙌🏻❤️

Man, James Cordon deserves an award for this speech. I truly shed a tear because of how much passion went into it. You don't often see this amount of genuineness from him in my honest opinion but it truly hit home. Deserves the upmost respect for saying it on a show in a country that doesnt nearly understand or care about this sport as much as Europe does and it was truly brave of him to do so. The reason these matters should be addressed is because it could happen to any sport in the world, not just football. And how truly devastating it is to people's passions.

The problem is like a lot of people he is jumping to the whole its only about Greed aspect having totally ignored what the governing body for Football in Europe with the backing of the European League operators and each countries governing body have been trying to do to make them more money off the back of the big clubs who without their revenues for the Champions league would be lucky if its 20% of what it currently is. They choose to ignore the feedback of the clubs and only backed down on their plans to basically create a UEFA super league WHEN rumours about a breakaway emerged and their compromise reform isn't much better which the clubs told them and they ignored. There is a reason why the whole ESL process seems so badly planned and that's because while there is some self-interest it's not just that, its them losing faith in UEFA having the best interests of the game and this being the only card they had to play to either make UEFA listen or break UEFA's hold over European Football

To put it in words Americans can understand: this is like the top 12 most valuable teams in MLB broke off to start their own league.
@AlexRN
@AlexRN 3 жыл бұрын
Not exactly an appropriate comparison since the MLB, just like the now defunct Super League, is a closed club where only the invited teams can play in. In world football (except the MLS) thanks to the relegation/promotion system ANY team could potentially rise to the top, win their country’s top tier competition and, if they’re in Europe, enter the Champions’ League. If the MLB had promotion and relegation it’d be as if a AAA League team from Birmingham Alabama got promoted to the MLB and won the World Series and the Super League was going to shit can that possibility.

The american audience members were probably asking themselves what was wrong about a sports league without relegation. EDIT: I didn't want to generalize about ALL americans, that is why I specified "the american audience" because I assume that the americans who watch Corden probably don't watch the MLS let alone any European football league. Also, its just a joke guys, don't hate on Americans and Americans don't take it too seriously please.

@@dangler1907 Americans won't ever get it.The NFL is just like the "Super League" with 32 instead of 20 teams.. What you are talking about is if teams from "Super League" broke off again from the "Super League" to form the "Super Super League". Let me explain it for you. The NFL has 32 teams and nothing else no relegation, basically nothing. Europe has around 100.000 teams in football. From really low tier backyard football to the 1013 professional clubs. And the beauty is that any of those 100.000 clubs, literally any of them, if they are good enough through time and ranking up could someday get promoted to a league which grants them professional status and perhaps someday even win the champions league (which is if you don't know the 32 top teams in Europe from the past season from all countries.) with the only requirement that they play good enough. That's what happens when you have such a perfect system. And what those guys tried is to ruin it with an American-like franchise based closed league where teams can't get relegated or promoted, thus making the dream of your low tier backyard club competing with them someday non existent. It's what this sport is all about. The dream if you and your mates are good enough, you can push your team, your local community team perhaps, to the highest heights. That's what football is about. That's what they tried to ruin. That's what you don't get. And please unless you guys form actual leagues with promotion/relegation don't ever mistake your entertainment frenchises with actual sports or competitions.

He could have basically just compared it to the NFL or NBA but he's tryna weasel his way in to getting the audience to agree with him that its bad - which they won't do if they realize its just like American sports which they know and love.

Don’t know why people think Americans don’t care for the sport or what’s going on because we do. You all would be surprised we are just as devastated as the European fans. Tons of us are born into families who support teams in the premier league, la liga, serie a the same way you all do. The only difference is you guys are privileged enough to live in the cities where the stadiums are and get to be apart of the atmosphere and us Americans for the most part are not.

We do care. Just so you know. The Americans who are fans are super fans because we don't get to live with the sport in our daily lives. What we get from the sport we seek on our own. We thirst for it. To see a sport no matter what kind, where they take from what actually made it what it is and ruin the spirit of it is a disgrace. It's a shame what these owners are doing. In some part it's up to the players to put some love of the game ahead of money as well. The superstars of the sport need to stand up for their fans. Choose not to play for teams that do this and then see how long it lasts.
