I've got a mole problem in my backyard even though I treat for grubs (even though my neighbors around me don't). One of my neighbors suggested using these poison worms, but I'm nervous about my puppy digging at them and accidentally eating one. I recently tried a trick where you stick a chunk of Juicy Fruit gum in the mole hole and they essentially die out since they are unable to digest the gum. It's been about 2 months and I haven't seen any new blow-outs.

Hmmmm...well, here goes. I live in Georgia (zone 7), and I broadcasted annual rye grass on my summer grasses. Instead of using an autumn, pre-emergent to attack my poa annua and dallas grass. Which have taken over most of my lawn. I did that because I didn't have a beautifully, green lawn during the summer. Because we've been in a drought all spring and summer (3-4 months). My lawn looked horrible. Although, I had a huge water bill, from watering twice a week, for many weeks. Hence, come spring, will I regret not using a pre-emergent to reduce my weed population (at least 50% of my lawn)???

Don Limbargo I wish. More rain tonight and tomorrow. Did quite a bit of damage to my backyard mowing yesterday.

I found mole mounds this week too! Luckily I quickly put down those tomcat worms...no more mounds 😂

I have seen no more mounds. I don’t want to dig up the areas where I covered the worms to check if they are gone because I overseeded and don’t want to disturb the baby grass any further.

Does anyone else compete with record high temperatures after aerating and over seeding? This is becoming a yearly tradition. Hopefully I can pay off the water bill before Christmas. lol Kinda.
