One fact that you didn't mention which was very interesting was that Naughty dog placed a very large text file at the center of the disc for Crash bandicoot which pushed most of the other information to the outside of the disc. This was because the outer rim of the disc spun faster which allowed load times to be faster for such a technologically advanced game of its time.

I think wrath of cortex is underrated so many new aspects while keeping in touch with the old. Like running towards the screen from a beast, while new ones were used, the hamster ball levels and the exoskeleton suit and the water levels. Wrath of cortex doesn't get enough love

5:52 The exact purpose WAS confirmed by a developer on Facebook. It was really meant to be the opening and ending cutscenes to the game. It was scrapped because Sony wanted to focus more on the 3D aspect (which I feel was for the best). It was never meant to be a cartoon show, but if it had stayed in the game, it may have spun off into one eventually.

In holland the wumpa froot are also called apples. A lot of years ago a Crash game and a Spyro game came out in the same year or at least in Holland they did) You could get Crash and Spyro toys in a happy meal at MCdonalds, and if you chose the Crash toys you would also get a free apple alongside your toy.

Warped was great, but I didn't like how a big chunk of the levels weren't strictly traditional crash platformers. When you consider the 2 underwater levels, 3 jet ski levels, 3 (I think) motorbike levels, 2 puma levels, 2 blimp levels... That's a lot!

Warped beats 2 in any other aspect, except difficulty. The colored gems are a great example of this. In Crash 2 you had to figure the secrets out, while in Warped, "yeah, just don't die in these ridiculously easy levels and you're good."

All these comments about twinsanity are making my head spin. Maybe I'm just older than these kids but that game was absolute buttcheeks compared to the original 3. Side note: Wrath of Cortex is super underrated because of and ONLY because of the long load screens, besides that, that game was phenomenal too in my opinion

It's shame really. Wrath of Cortex and Twinsanity are two of my most favorite crash games. Did you know that Wrath of Cortex was supposed to be the original Twinsanity, but the developers didn't have enough time

Strongly disagree. Cnk and Wrath of Cortex were decent but felt lacking compared to the ps1 games. It took til Twinsanity for me to really be excited about Crash again. Too bad it was never finished properly.

When I was a kid, my mom also liked Crash, especially CTR. We thought he was a wolf, not knowing what bandicoot meant. We called him Lupo (wolf in Italian) :P

you forgot that in all the original psx crash bandicoot games there was a hidden playable demo of spyro the dragon at the start menu you put in a code & it took you to it, it was the same with the spyro the dragon games as they both shared the universal interactive games franchise

When I got a Playstation as a kid my first game for it was Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back. I would spend hours into the night playing it, sometimes myself, sometimes with my dad. It's become my favorite of the series, as much as I also love Warped.

I'd definitely buy the N.Sane trilogy, I just don't have a PS4 nor am I planning on getting one, I wish everything was multiplatform tbh, or that there was at least 1 single platform, I know the market repercussions that would bring but I mean in an ideal world I wouldn't have to go buy a brand new console just to play something from my childhood but looking better.
